Ephemeral Iris

The marketing describes the presence of the hazelnut as an "inflection" and it definitely is. The hazelnut comes in at the opening as a gourmand modulation of the natural nutty aspect of iris and then gives way to the more earthy nuttiness. This is a smooth cooling scent, only hampered by its longevity. Within a short amount of time this fades into an impression of clean skin, lathered with rose/sandalwood soap. I imagine this as a good bed-time scent; cozy and ephemeral, wanes just as you drift to sleep.

nutty musk

this is kind of a 'nothing' scent that lasts all of 2 hours before evaporating into fairly plain-smelling, skin-level muskiness that then swiftly fades to oblivion. considering both the butter and the absolute of orris are so-say used in this, you could've fooled me - i barely smell anything relating to any facet of orris i know of save a mere hint of rose and mild nuttiness, but i assume that comes from the hazelnut. disappointing.

Perfect bedtime fragrance for hot weather. Iris cools you off, hazelnut keeps you cozy. Has much more longevity in higher temps than cold.

Starts more powdery than nutty with a really beautiful, dry-spicy iris, then quickly becomes very soft, indefinable spicy woody.

Creamy hazelnut with iris in the opening. Unusual. Lipstick iris, sandalwood, a bit of resin + a lot (unfortunately) of Ambroxan form the heart + base.
