Sophisticated, grown-up
Hello everyone,
After a long absence I'm back. In our current time of Lockdown and apocalyptic scenario all over, I decided to treat myself to a new scent. Doing my research online I found this Cartier fragrance for just 27€. So it's a total blind buy and the ingredients sounded very appealing to me. I love honey and wondered how this could be translated into a male fragrance without being too sticky and sweet.
I already own Guerlain Flora de Nymphea, which is very honey heavy, but this one is successfully not to sweet! The first spray was like :"OH nooo, this smells like" old man". That's probably the musk making a quick appearance, but it subsided VERY quickly (lucky me). So the scent develops from spicey to a clean soap like fragrance in the first 30 minutes. The honey is interwoven at all times, engulfed in vetiver and musk. It's not heavy at all, but noticeabe presence.
I REALLY like how Mathilde wrapped this honey in vetiver and musc to avoid this fragrance from being too sweet and cheap.
The fond becomes very skinlike. Probably again the musc that makes this scent stick to your skin for a long time, too.
This fragrance is marketed towards men, but in 2021 this could easily be worn by a strong woman.
What I do have to point out is : This is not a scent for boys. But rather for modern men in their 30s. L'envol does not seduce with overwhelmingly creamy and oriental notes with a 5km radius sillage. This scent is subtle. Long lasting. Classy. Business with a wink and smirk.
For the price I paid, I think I did a great catch. (Notino.de).
For what occasions? Definitvely work, theater, opera, probably a nice dinner. Something sophisticated.
I imagine a man wearing a white shirt, unbuttoned 3 buttons on the top. Clean haircut with slightly Grey sideburns. Good fitting pants and nice shoes (exact the opposite of me, but I'll still flaunt it).

This is a Great Scent similar to Niche Quality
This is a Great Fragrance, Elegant, Classy, Airy and Complex. You can't go wrong with it. It is similar to EDP but Lighter and lesser Honey note. I do get Iris note in the opening and dry down. It opens up with fresh spicy, Honey and Iris notes in the background then dry down is herbal musky and woody. I really enjoy it when the weather is Rainy or warm. Longevity is very good. Highly Recommended.
Thumbs Up.

There was no spark
I really wanted to test both L'Envole honeys. I was even willing to make blind purchases, but during other perfume purchases I managed to get samples of both concentrations... it's good that it happened, because there was no spark and there will be no love. It's hard to get even more sympathy.
L'Envol in eau de toilette concentration is a lighter, daily version of EDP. They are similar but there are important differences between them. EDT has fewer notes that you can feel, it is not as overloaded and heavy as its more concentrated counterpart. I like the greater spaciousness of the scent, these perfumes are alive, vibrate, change on the skin and show different faces, although none of them captivated me.
The honey here is interesting, it is not a typical sweet, thick and heavy honey scent, but rather a fresh aroma of honey, only slightly sweet, mixed with citrus, herbal and floral notes.
The beginning is citrus and herbal, even slightly cologne. Honey emerges quite quickly from under the citrus fruit, but at no stage of the fragrance's evolution does it come to the fore, it is always a bit hidden in the shadow, first of herbal citrus fruit, then musk and woody notes. I also feel violets here, although not as pronounced as in the EDP.
The parameters are moderately decent. Longevity on my skin is 6 hours. Projection for the first 2 hours is good, definitely noticeably better than the EDP. The EDT variant is more airy and spacious, although I must point out that its projection is very average.
It's hard to say whether I like EDT more or less. It is a good fragrance, but it will not be included in my collection, it lacks more character, for me L'Envol is indefinite. As someone noticed below, there is no decisiveness or specific direction here, neither very elegant, nor fresh, nor sweet. I don't know what occasion I would wear it. Well, regardless of concentration, L'Envol is not for me, although if I had to choose, I prefer the compositionally richer EDP.

Unique Elegance: A Personal Encounter with L'Envol
L'Envol presents a unique experience, opening with a powdery honey that sometimes carries an intriguing, almost animalic edge upon initial spray – though this quickly dissipates. As it develops, a lovely floral aspect emerges. While the 100 ml bottle is a beautiful object, the 80 ml tester still offers an elegant presentation at a more accessible price. This scent, and its presentation, exude sophistication. L'Envol is unlikely to be a mass favorite, but for those seeking something distinct, it could become a cherished discovery. It certainly offers a novel addition to my own collection.

Clarisse, ma chérie, let's fly.
Fly ma chérie, fly with me over the rooftops of Paris;
You and me both here,
je t'aime, cher Clarisse.

I prepared the breakfast buffet for you Your favorite croissant with honey we worked through the night,
You like it sweet and lemony
The window is open, a gust of wind lets your silky hair glide over my face;
i hope we stay together in good times and bad.

Clarisse, ma chérie, let's fly,
away from here to another place;
we both belong together and can only win,
You and me, nobody else on board [...]
Cartier, what beautiful treasures you bring out: your Déclarations, your Eau de Cartiers, your Pashas, your Must de Cartiers...
And this L'Envol EdT, which I discovered by chance during an order through a sample that came with it, is also a wonderful and fine fragrance. Best suited for warmer days it brings a smile to my sometimes tired face.

The sunny days have now left us for several months, but when the blossoms on the trees start to bloom again, the butterflies wander around, the bees circle around our sweets, the streets are full of good-humoured people, then his time has come.

It is marketed as men's water, but in my eyes it is totally unisex (which for me personally all fragrances are anyway, but this is a topic in itself...).
[...]

The Opening is a pure and juicy lemon, but surrounded by a spicy note that is not listed here. But I definitely smell spices out and so I found out during my research on fragrantica that there might be mugwort in the top note. "Hmm, I wasn't that wrong", I heard this information and felt confirmed.

The fragrance therefore begins fresh and spicy. At this point it is slightly bitter and tart, somewhat comparable to mint or juniper. The sweet and mild honey note, which makes the water run in your mouth, but immediately - shortly afterwards - resonates in the background. This combination lasts for a longer period of time, but the spicy nuance then quickly fades. So that afterwards an earthy-woody breeze from guaiac wood is added to this bitter-sweet and sweet-mild freshness. This breeze in turn is enveloped in musk, which is not listed here, but I personally perceive it Over the whole course of its life it is predominantly fresh and aromatic, woody and slightly sweet. It is spicy mMn only at the very beginning, later not anymore.

The few notes make L'Envol EdT a wonderful spring/summer scent in my eyes, but one that can also be worn super well on warmer autumn days. Whether during the day or in the evening, I think it is perfectly suitable for any time of day: At work, in your free time or in the evening to go out for dinner. Besides, it is also available for little money
For a "warm weather scent" it has a quite acceptable longevity. It sticks to my skin for about 5-6h and leaves a nice scent cloud in the first 1,5h, which then recedes and can be perceived for a few more hours.
Even though I think it would be best in the warmer season, I think you can spray it on colder days as well, if you like.
For me personally, however, he would probably be a bit "too fresh" on such days...
Conclusion:
In the meantime, I have also tested the EdP, which I find to be more "honey-heavy" and somewhat heavier, but still good overall. However, I personally like the fresh and spicy, woody and minimal sweet EdT variant even better. A really noble feel-good scent, which fortunately is not equipped with any bad synthetics and is of good quality. For me it comes pure, pure and natural.

This one makes me feel like a bird...
As a little boy (and adult still) I often wished to have two wings and just take off...
But this "flight" already transports me in its own way to another place... A place full of peace and quiet...
[...]
As always, I would like to thank everyone who has accompanied me so far!

Scents like light fresh honeyed wine. If they had added cacao instead of honey, it would have been very similar to Guerlain L'Instant EDT.

Bitter artemisia and sweet honey just don't get along in my book. To my nose this one is a "try before you buy" kind of scent.
