Better than I hoped
Oh dear, comment numero uno. For a long time I have been thinking about which fragrance I will dedicate my commentary premiere to. Now it is this one.
To get back at you... Before the Hartley, I already owned the R.M. I thought it was great except for the fact that it seemed very linear. I often had the feeling of an olfactory "tinitus" on warmer days, because the same scents dominated from beginning to end.
Then I got a package from the souk with a sample of the said Hartley and was immediately hooked. One week later I contacted the same perfume and bought a bottle with the words "I MUST have that" :-D
I didn't want to like him better than the R.M. At first. The hype was too big compared to the relatively unknown Hartley. This is totally stupid, I know...
In the end, Hartley comes across as much rounder. The opening is much more sparkling and he develops a woodier character than RM. Parallels are definitely there; a clone? No!
I also find the RM more synthetic, even though Hartley is said to have a certain dose of it here. The said "tinnitus" never occurs here.
When you least expect it... Hartley has become one of my absolute favorites and that although I thought at the beginning, he will surely move on soon. I have the RM ... How far I was wrong! RM is history now :D
I can only warmly recommend this masterpiece to everyone! Give him a chance or two. I, too, had to be taught better first!

The real office for men?!
Yes, a provocative comment, I know. But for me, this description actually pretty much sums up where this fragrance comes into play for me.
The start goes right away relatively spicy and even slightly "boozy" the first time you smell it. However,...
