A Matter of Getting Used To
Today the weather is simply depressing - especially bad after a wonderfully warm summer weekend that we enjoyed with our motorcycles. But the weather can't be changed, at least it can be brightened up a bit with a fragrant soul-soother.

I tested Berlin a long time ago but couldn't get along with it. However, a while back, a sample of "For Her" found its way to me, and after wearing it 2-3 times, I couldn't understand how I ever didn't like it. Because with For Her, I had the same initial difficulties, and I perceived Berlin as a scent twin during my first test. So today I tested Berlin again and took a small bottle with me. I was also somewhat attracted by the advertising: a part of my relatives lives in Berlin, and I have been going there repeatedly throughout my life.

For me, the scent pleasantly stands out from the fruit-berry-cotton candy uniformity of recent years, regardless of the price range. Berlin starts off herbal and very intense, but it softens to a pleasant level after about 15 minutes. In the opening, I can clearly smell the pink pepper, which I really like in fragrances, as well as bergamot. Later, the lily comes into its own for me, followed by jasmine. I don't consciously perceive rose, but I do notice lily of the valley, even though it shouldn't be in there at all. The dry down consists of patchouli and cedarwood, and the musk is bearable for me as it is not too animalistic.

The longevity is really good; I can perceive the scent for about 5-6 hours, and it also withstands hand washing without any problems - tough luck for those who can't appreciate it. *g*

The bottle is a matter of taste, but there are certainly uglier ones. However, it is opaque, which I don't find too bad, as it protects the fragrance. With 30ml, I can neglect the fill level; 30ml lasts forever for me since I don't just have this fragrance here. ;-)

For me, the scent was simply a matter of getting used to it and shows me once again that it's worth testing a fragrance multiple times. Those who like the scents of N. Rodriguez might find some enjoyment in this one.

Good from the Drugstore Corner
Today I took a look around at Rossi and found in the freely accessible drugstore corner, Berlin by Michalsky.

Since the last Top Model season, this designer is no longer a stranger to me.
I didn't remember him as unsympathetic - and although I'm not a fervent fan of the capital, I dared to spray it on.

Oh, the herbaceous fresh opening of pepper and mandarin pleased me!
A dark velvety rose blends harmoniously beneath, and the jasmine is green-floral.
I'm increasingly liking Berlin.
The smoky cedarwood gives the fragrance character, and patchouli rounds it off softly.

Respect, Mr. Michalsky!

Additionally, the fair price is a delight for the wallet.

A distinctive fragrance with a good quality impression that can make it into my collection.
P.S. Berlin has moved in with me.

Hairspray in the Form of a Pretty Bottle
Yes, I actually think the bottle is quite nice. And I really like Michael Michalsky. A quirky, likeable person, as far as an outsider can judge. I had so hoped that this fragrance would immediately captivate me. I had so hoped it would be love at first sniff.

What a letdown! Right after the first spray (a spritz on the clothing), I was hit by a note that I would most closely associate with hairspray. But straight to the point, no beating around the bush. Bam! My first thought: "Who on earth wants to drag a penetrating cloud of hairspray behind them?"

I can't quite define what exactly I'm smelling here. A look at the fragrance pyramid doesn't clarify anything for me. Where's the mandarin? At least that could have given the top note some fruitiness and something pleasantly feminine! I vaguely sense the flowers in the heart, but the interplay seems to me personally not particularly well thought out. After all, with every further attempt, I primarily catch a whiff of that rather unpleasant hairspray I just mentioned.

At this point, I assume that the fragrance will mellow in the base and perhaps reveal a bit of its delicate nature. However, I'm still waiting for that.

Woody Pepper Powder - Floral Patterned!
It is neither a spring nor a summer fragrance. Not specifically designed for autumn and winter - thus - one for the whole year! And it has quite a lot to offer, it is somewhat sweet, but in the "green area." A kind of "go-to" and "all-rounder"! It is nothing particularly special, but also not boring or mundane. Inspired by a fashion designer known for casual-elegant, well-wearable clothing. All in all - this is how this fragrance is.
At the beginning, you can smell the quite spicy citrus fruits, reminiscent of a Mediterranean grove. Well peppered, the whole thing! And with flowers in tow: lily, rose, and jasmine - as described in the fragrance pyramid, but probably also with iris in the mix, which powders strongly. And some cloves, whose floral spiciness gives a casual touch to the elegance from the background. The longevity and sillage are quite respectable, neither weak nor exaggerated. Woods then join in, led by cedar - followed by a generous splash of earthy patchouli. Musk? Not present for me - but it's not needed at all. It takes a good hour for the fragrance to fully "settle." However, it does not remain stoically still; it always shifts within itself. It results in a well-stocked woody pepper powder blend with a pleasing floral pattern. If it were a textile, it would be a silk-linen fiber. Colors: The base in light cinnamon - scattered flowers in burgundy, cream white, and iris blue!

Is this supposed to be a dupe for Narciso For Her??
I bought it because I really wanted several fragrances that go in the Narciso For Her direction but have their own nuances. After many MBs compared it to NR in their reviews here, I was eagerly anticipating its arrival this morning. Um... does my skin have such a different chemistry than other people's? Because I don't smell NR in the slightest. Rather, I get a soft, delicately warm, and only slightly fruity apricot (don't ask me where this association comes from, especially since the fragrance pyramid doesn't show anything apricot-like at all... but maybe it's due to the mandarin?) resting on jasmine. Where is the patchouli? Where is the powdery musk?
And yet, even without its dupe qualities, Michalsky Berlin is pleasant, very pleasant. With great sillage and wonderful longevity.
I've already heard the other bottles in my collection whispering excitedly. It seems that Michalsky has already been accepted into the group.

A fresh-citrusy scent for everyday use. It's also herb-powdery. It never annoys me, always works. I really like it.

Reminds me of Narciso for her, just spicier and smells "off" to me.

First, the hair is washed with apricot shampoo and later fixed with a lot of hairspray. I find it a bit uneven and somewhat stuffy. What a shame...

Sweet oriental scent - I find it very pleasant, but I can't detect anything fruity/citrusy.

Very bitter, with an unpleasant sharp note. Unfortunately, the longevity is too good, as I find the scent terrible on my skin.

Tested and really not bad - I thought about what it reminds me of. A bit like "For her," but not quite as strong. Velvety, delicate.
