Chocolate Cake with Berries
Recently, we dined at a fine restaurant, and for dessert, there were all sorts of delicious sweets - including small chocolate cakes and berry compote in a glass. Every woman is known to have a dessert stomach - no matter how full you are, there's always room for something sweet! So I tried this heavenly combination and was blown away.
And this dessert reminds me of Fame for Women by Michalsky. I received it as a PR sample and initially put it on the shelf, but when the weather turned dreary and uncomfortable, I dug it out again. Based on the scent, I could have sworn there were some berries in it - currants, raspberries, blackberries... But that's not the case; instead, we find apple. So that must be responsible for the fruity aspect of the scent at the beginning!
For the chocolate cake aroma, vanilla and praline are likely at play; Fame for Women is sweet and a bit chocolatey, but garnished with fruits. I really like it and don’t find it cheap at all - I've received several "You smell good" compliments when I wore it. The perfume hasn’t been well-received here so far, but anyone who likes, for example, Black Opium or 007 for Women II might also take a liking to this one.
I also want to commend the fantastic longevity - if I spray it on in the morning before work, I can still smell it in the evening when I take off my clothes. And it still smells "fresh" and not musty, which some bergamot patchouli scents tend to have after a few hours. One downside is the bottle, which has a thick base - it looks full, but in reality, it’s only 3/4 filled. So it can be misleading if you want to see how much of the liquid is still inside. But that's all the complaining I have - overall, this is a lovely little treat for autumn/winter!
