WOA !
WOW !
Woa, what a tumultuous start!
The beginning: Rolling around in damp leaves!
Like a happy dog rolling in its fur.
Digging, rummaging. Splashing! Damp leaves are flying.
After a while, another layer appears, just beneath, parallel,
a drier one. It’s hay-like. I want to lie down in it too, a bit more gently now.
An immensely physical scent experience creates humus.
It reminds me, initially insistent and wild, of what?
Running, outside, jumping, joyfully falling...
This reckless phase of childhood. And again and again earth, leaves, leaves, leaves.
A hayloft. An animal too, a friendly one.
Adventure and security in one.
At some point then wood. Darker. Thick. Polished, old, smooth.
Table. Bed. No, table...
After a little while, the table becomes a whole hunting lodge for me.
And the scent matures, now has dignity, no, nobility.
It becomes quiet.
I don’t know how it does that, to be so cool and yet make me think of a cozy, glowing open fireplace.
Maybe because the petrichor still resonates delightfully, while oak moss settles with oud and vetiver in rum, played around by a rose.
Then it suddenly becomes even quieter.
Image-less clarity.
Magnificent.
At the very end, a cloud that ... oh no;
I won’t tell that.
And once again, I have found a scent (like recently Odin's Tanoke 07 and Danza Armenia, the latter also from the clever Michele Bianchi) that I don’t necessarily want to smell, but that I want to smell.
Invitations to be alone. Wonderful.
Sillage? I couldn’t care less; there’s no one else here.
Longevity? I’ve lost track of time.
.
Addendum on 11.10.2020:
PS: Unfortunately. I MUST say here now, about a month later, that the scent I quickly bought for this test trip does not quite match my dreams. It had to be reformulated due to EC certification, as some natural scent notes did not pass. Now it has unfortunately become more linear. The petrichor starts off powerfully and remains prominent for a long time. Since I really like this scent note, the fragrance can stay. But it’s still a bit of a shame.
