The Song of the Siren
According to legends and stories, Ladan was a sexy Persian princess.
It is said that she had "The eyes of a Beauty and an ass of a Goddess!"
Men seem fascinated and are unable to run away or keep their distance from her.
Just that alone gives a deep insight.
To what extent Michele Bianchi knows this story and used it as a basis for the composition of his sensual, enchanting fragrance "Ladan," I do not know, of course.
And yet, I perceive a kind of Persian and also European fairy tale world in this scent.
Neroli and orange blossom guard and enchant; they ensure that everyday life stays outside, and the devotion to this fragrance is complete.
It opens the senses to all that is to come. Heart and soul are thus opened to recognize the peculiar charm of "Ladan."
Protective incense, less scratchy here and instead sensually embracing and safeguarding, along with the spicy power of cedarwood, brings calm and simultaneously transports us to realms that are sometimes foreign to us. They gently open the thoughts: solutions to problems sometimes present themselves here; a light drifting between worlds invites you in. It feels good to follow it!
The rather sweet scent of geranium provides harmony and balance.
Patchouli, spicy yet always conjuring a golden glow into the scents, completes the previous scent journey. Even now, it touches the soul and additionally opens the senses.
Warm, heavy, and creamy vanilla seduces together with the sweetness of tonka bean (which is not so bothersome to me here) into a sensually fragrant embrace that is very welcome here.
A little creature meanders, purring contentedly, through this fragrance structure and leaves a slightly animalistic nuance!
How sexy is that?
Scent intensity and longevity could be richer; but still, a sensually composed, not too heavy fragrance is presented here. It envelops, protects, and lets you dream.
"Ladan" seems not quite of this world. Did the devil perhaps have a hand in the fragrance composition? Or were there angels who do not reveal themselves?
In any case, a great magician was at work here!
Perhaps Michele Bianchi also knows the following siren song - the song of Ladan:
"I'm not Snow white
but I'm lost inside this forest!
I'm not Red riding hood,
but I think the wolves have got me.
Don't want your stilettos!
I'm not, not Cinderella!
I don't need a knight!
So Baby take off all your Amor!
You be the Beast
and I'll be the beauty Beauty!
Who need true love
as long as you love me truly?
I want it all
but I want you more!
Will you wake me up, Boy
if I bite your poison apple?
"Ladan" is both a protector and a seducer.
Even those who do not believe in fairy tales will succumb to its graceful magic!
A fragrance, not for every day, but certainly for special moments!
