The Treasure of the Tsar
There is allegedly a legend among Russian perfumers. It is said that among the treasures of the Tsar, there was once a perfume so precious and rare that it was kept under lock and key. An Oud perfume of the highest quality and purity. A gift from Oman to the Tsar himself, in his honor. It is said to still exude a breathtaking scent and be priceless in today's time. It has been lost to this day and will most likely remain so. Michele Bianchi has created an homage to the unique scent of the Tsar with Carskij Oud. A more than successful interpretation of the once legendary perfume.

The Scent of Carskij Oud
Carskij Oud opens its symphony in the top note with citrusy bergamot. It is a powdery-citrusy note. Not sharp and fresh. Rather powdered and soft in perception. The heart note sets in after a few moments. A silky-watery rose combines with the scent of soft and warm leather and muted tones of jasmine. Nothing is harsh or even remotely loud in this perfume. The Oud begins to flow, connecting with its almost honey-woody creaminess the rose, the leather, and the jasmine. The Oud not only connects the three, it is also the link to the base note. Earthy tones from moist-warm patchouli meet white musk, which is embedded on a creamy sandalwood bed, merging with resinous-waxy amber. Carskij Oud consistently radiates a majestic and incredibly elevated aura. An Oud scent that one can confidently wear to the opera, the theater, or social events without drawing any negative attention. Quite the opposite!

Michele Bianchi deserves my utmost respect because he taught himself the art of creating fragrances. All of his works were solely for private enjoyment. He originally teaches Italian history and language at the university in Moscow. One of his first fragrances was Humus, with which he took first place in a competition for young and unknown perfumers in Moscow. The fragrances of Michele Bianchi are unique and very individual. Probably because he carries two hearts in his chest. The Italian-elegant and the Russian-melancholic side.

Since Michele has not founded his own company, his fragrances are exclusively available in a few perfumeries in Russia, which hopefully will change over time. As we are also privately friends, I am happy for him that Michele Bianchi can now also be found on Parfumo. A natural talent with courage and pioneering spirit. I suspect we will hear much more from him!

Floral scent with a strangely spicy note. Oud in a homeopathic dose. Ends with an animalistic creaminess. Not bad.

To me, it feels like a mix of musk and oud, a combination I don't really appreciate because it has a subtle animalistic undertone.

Fresh, herbal, and spicy - that's the vibe here. Another modern men's fragrance with class, but it really has nothing to do with oud (...)

Spicy-floral yet soft scent. Oud is brief at the start...more feminine in my eyes. Beautiful.

An oud as charming as Michele himself. He didn't win an award for nothing. Ultra-soft, creamy, sensitive, sexy. Wow!

I perceive more musk than oud. Slightly "meaty" nuances of jasmine (?) play under the truly beautiful, smoky-creamy wood.

Wow. What a naturally crafted oud scent. I notice slight parallels to Jubi.
Wow. Just an amazing fragrance!
Great job Mr. Bianchi!

More Oud Accord, light floral notes meet an overdose of musk, minimal hairspray, a beautiful, mild, very moderate scent.
