A Difficult Case Becomes Love
"Epidor" - often tested and not understood. Seen as heavily discounted and not even thought of buying in my dreams. Then I finally found my way to you and regretted not having purchased you. And now you have disappeared from the sales floor :(
I got to know the good one on a gray spring day. Sprayed it right on my wrist and was completely disgusted. It smelled sweet to me with a strong note of cat pee. That cat pee! It has happened to me a couple of times that fragrances snuck that note in. Well-known, beloved scents like Amouage "Memoir Woman" or an Amouage Opus (forgot which one it was). I don't know which ingredients make me sense the pee - musk or incense or the combination of both or something else entirely. I still need to find that out. But back to the story...
At that time, I bought a different fragrance. And received the Epidor original sample as a free gift. I sniffed at that sample often. It attracted me and repelled me at the same time. Then I took it with me on our trip to Tuscany. It was hot in Tuscany at the time - never less than 35 degrees. One day, I cheerfully used my sample. And there it was - the right decision. The sun on my skin, the breathtakingly beautiful landscapes around me, and "Epidor." How beautifully it revealed itself: the pee was gone, the sillage was seductive, and it created images.
There is a human touch in the scent. The fragrance has a clear, slightly animalistic touch for me. I smell and see fresh, sweet baked goods and people - perhaps farmers' women, warmed by the blazing sun of the day, returning from morning fieldwork, freshly made up and enjoying a holiday. Musk is beautiful here, I think, simultaneously creating the feeling of the cotton shirt and heated, human skin.
An absolutely stunning fragrance that pulls you in. However, for me, it seems only wearable in hot temperatures.
The falcon is great, and the sillage and longevity are good: 7-8 hours.
