What does Kantali mean?
I researched what the name means on the vast web, but found nothing. I like the name. However, it is not easy for me to make a first comment on a fragrance that no one else has commented on yet. Although the scent is very affordable, I believe it deserves a comment.
I usually have a love-hate relationship with fragrances from England. I owned English Rose by Yardley (thankfully sold on the bay) and still have Lavender by Yardley. That scent can really kill and scare away moths. For me, both fragrances are absolute stink bombs.
Not so with Kantali! This fragrance completely surprised me. It starts citrusy, and a bit of that lemon scent remains throughout the entire scent journey. The sillage is stunning for the first two hours. You can envelop the entire audience of a theater in clouds of fragrance. Gradually, amber and a bit of jasmine emerge. With a slight soapy cloud, the scent fades away and bids farewell.
The longevity is good. At least 6 hours are in there. However, I only tested the scent on my skin and not in my hair or on my clothes. I believe it lasts significantly longer there, and you can definitely smell it for days.
In the dry down, it is simply a "clean scent," not too sweet and not overpowering. However, I must also mention that Obelisk has a completely different scent progression. I own Obelisk by MCM and also by Loft. Only at the beginning does Kantali resemble it; after that, the scent perception is completely different, but not negative. Kantali is the first fragrance I ordered from England that I like. It is unusual, but in no way unpleasant.
