Perfumer's Choice Nº10 Mojo Milton-Lloyd 2020 Eau de Parfum

if you don't want to spend a lot and still get the vibes of tom ford oud wood then this is for sure your pick , it is synthetic of course but for this price can't complain at all, and it has the best longevity and projection, tho not for everyone unless you like oud and even if you want a soft oud not too cloying this this is ok for you.

I had such high expectations, "better than the original," "Tom Ford turned up to eleven," "Beauty and the Beast." These are just a few of the quotes that convinced me to make a blind buy of this supposed Oud Wood clone. While the similarity is indeed there, it's just poorly executed and piercing! But let's start from the beginning.

As an owner of TF Oud Wood, I was looking for a clone that smells nearly identical and also has better longevity/sillage. After stumbling upon this clone and reading all the good reviews, I decided to purchase this so-called masterpiece.

The moment had come, after a few days the package delivery person rang my doorbell, and excitedly I opened the package to hold in my hands the Perfumers Choice Mojo No. 10!

And indeed, my first impression was positive; the bottle looks much more high-quality than I had imagined. The unusual spray mechanism didn't bother me either. Spraying it directly on my arm, I immediately noticed the strong similarity to TF Oud Wood. But beware, this illusion is deceptive!

After a few minutes, a note that I found to be extremely unpleasant emerged. A sharp, biting, slightly rancid smell spread on my arm and rose directly into my nose. I can directly deny that the perfume was spoiled, as the other notes smelled too good for that. And that is also the frustrating part about this scent. Mojo No. 10 would truly be a masterpiece if it weren't for that one disgusting note. The performance is indeed fantastic, unfortunately.

I can only strongly advise anyone looking for a TF Oud Wood replacement to stay away from this perfume. The high similarity that exists at the beginning is quickly nullified by the aforementioned note.

I am aware that I am currently the only one on Parfumo speaking so poorly of this scent. And precisely for that reason, I felt it was my duty to write a review about this perfume!

You'd be better off buying the original and using a moisturizing lotion as a base; then you'll also get better longevity/sillage out of TF Oud Wood.

Fresher, less spiciness than the original.
As a result, it has even less depth than, for example, "Bois Oudh | The Dua Brand / Dua Fragrances," which is already quite linear.
At first, there is a subtle note that evokes associations with plastic for me. This makes it seem very synthetic.
After 10-15 minutes, this note disappears and the fragrance becomes more wearable.

I bought the fragrance after many positive reviews and my good experience with "The Man Cobalt | Milton-Lloyd / Jean Yves Cosmetics." The Man Cobalt smelled much more high-quality to me upon the first spray.
However, I tested it again and The Man Cobalt now smells more synthetic to me than I remember. I have no idea if my sense of smell has developed or if it's due to skin chemistry and the winter weather.

That depends on what you expect from the fragrance.
Personally, I no longer want to make blind purchases and want to choose new scents thoughtfully. A fragrance should please me from start to finish, regardless of the price.

The fragrance was purchased on sale for about €10, so much for the price.
I have never smelled the "original," so there's no comparison, just an absolute first impression.
Sprayed, my first thought: camphor.

The alcohol dissipated, and incense joined in, the undertone of sage remains, hmm interesting.

Gradually, the wood comes through. It smells somewhat like a freshly varnished table in a church, but in a good way.

Over time, it becomes increasingly resinous, and a (very) light orange note emerges.

Really great perfume, and that for less than a small MC Menu.

However, you have to survive the first few seconds; it's not easy.
