The Frugal 1 Mil
When I 1st purchased no.3 I expected a cheap 1 mil imitation. After 1 month of wear I've realised it's more than just that.It is a cheap clone but I think it does deliver a bit more. Off the bat read this only if you're a person who likes the scent profile of 1 mil.
Here are my thoughts.
The scent journey:
The fragrance starts like cutting into an orange that's been sitting in your fridge. It is synthetic but is also fresh and energising.
After the 30 minutes mark, here is where I think the scent shines. The heart notes. Imagine peppermint candy dipped in rose water. The floral is delicate and not powdery.
As it dries down it gives off this clean pencil shavings vibe than stays close to the skin.
Why it works:
It's dirt cheap regardless where you're from but give off a well formulated scent. It's versatile and easy to wear, work, gym, trips, etc. it's gives off a soft projection which works well in AC environment unlike the OG.
Where it falls short:
First spray is harsh and synthetic. Doesn't project after 2 hours or so turning to skin scent levels. Performs worse in hot weather and is not as smooth as the OG. Also the aerosol bottle tends to cause one to over spray.
My Overall Impression:
It's not bold or loud instead softer and easy going. The heart defines it's character and the base keeps it grounded. For the price of a cup from Starbucks here in Malaysia, it's a perfect everyday wear.
