"What does a baby smell like when it smells the way you think it should?"

"He smells good," said the nurse. "What do you mean, good?" Terrier yelled at her. "Many things smell good. A bunch of lavender smells good. (..) What does an infant smell like, I want to know?"

The wet nurse hesitated. She knew what babies smelled like, she knew exactly, (...) she could find them at night with her nose, she could smell the baby's odor clearly even now. But she had never described it with words before.

"So-" the nurse began, "it's not easy to say, because... because they don't smell the same everywhere, although they smell good everywhere, Father, you see, so on the feet, for example, they smell like a smooth warm stone (...) And on the body they smell like... like a galette that's been put in milk. And on the head, up there, at the back of the head, where the hair makes the swirl, there, look, Father, there, where there's nothing left on you..." and she tapped Terrier, who had become speechless for a moment at this torrent of detailed stupidity and had obediently lowered his head, on his bald head"... here, right here, that's where they smell best. That's where they smell like caramel, it smells so sweet, so wonderful (..).

----------------------------------------------

When I sprayed Milk Musk Eau de Toilette on my hand for the first time in Breuninger some time ago, I immediately had the association: Fontanelle (the spot on a baby's head described by the nun). Such a sweet, creamy, warm, vanilla-like and gentle scent. Milky and familiar, so incredibly embracing and protective. Something slightly powdery.

The good thing is that, apart from my first association, the fragrance can work for many people. Fruity at first but not overwhelmingly sweet, I smell both pear and peach. But then it's directly embedded in this vanilla milk and the musk wraps itself around everything like a warm cuddly cloud. The fragrance is quite quickly close to the skin but then remains perceptible for a good 6-7 hours. The fact that the sillage is not so strong is also fitting in my opinion.

The bottle also catches my eye, I like how simple and yet special it looks with this sphere. Even if the bottle of the EDP Milk Musk Eau de Parfum is even prettier... but that was a bit too heavy for me personally, it's not a blind buy candidate (in my opinion).

Conclusion: My signature, works in every season (maybe not in midsummer), both during the day and at night. I have only received positive feedback so far. Absolutely comfortable and makes you feel good.
