Milk Musk Molton Brown 2020 Eau de Toilette

Blindbuy and love at first sight. It starts off clean and deliciously sweet, almost like smelling powdered milk or vanilla sugar near a bouquet of soft flowers. I know the notes aren't similar, but this opening reminds of how Diptyque's Fleur de Peau dries down. However, Milk Musk dries down as a powdery skin-like scent, almost leathery, reminding me of a more shy Cuir Béluga. Just lovely.

I was hoping for more of a lactonic accord, but I don't hate this. It's an easy fragrance to wear, and one that I feel is unlikely to be objectionable to people around you. A nice, unassuming daytime scent with a comforting quality. The price isn't great; but if you have a hard time finding an everyday scent that you find wearable in a wide variety of situations, you might not mind.

Fluffy musk and tonka with some powdery vanilla, cedar and a healthy dose of ambroxan. Cloud-like. Reminiscent of a candied cotton ball. I don’t get any of the fruity top notes listed whatsoever (which I’m happy about, not a fruity scent girl). Very cozy and soft. This was a somewhat random blind buy and I’m so happy I went for it. Intimate projection, longevity is great for an EDT.

It would have been better if it was available in 10ml size, but 10ml is enough because it lasts quite a long time on the skin. (Travel size is not available) I honestly don't like pear scents, but this one is dominated by peach, and the peach and pear mix together to give it a "delicious fruit" scent, so it was fine. I have the impression that the scent doesn't come out unless you hold it about 5cm away from your skin. It's a skin fragrance. It has a rich scent like condensed milk with a hint of musk, rather than the freshness of milk. It lasts for 5-6 hours. The change in scent is quite gentle. I can't think of any other similar scents, so it's best to try it before you buy. It may be heavier than you think. Also, for some reason, I always feel itchy and rash when I wear this perfume...I wonder why.
And well, I do get a little tired of it.

Edit:Another reviewer's description of "healthy dose of ambroxan" is excellent. I'm quite sensitive to ambroxan and get headaches easily, but this one rarely does. So, it's ambroxan in the right amount and in the right way.

I got my hands on Mykonos Milk Drops and became obsessed with milk perfume. I searched for the best & "original" and Milk Musk by Molton Brown came up alongside a few others. The EDT, unlike the EDP have better opening. Milky with a slight freshness from the peach note, although for me it didn't smell particularly peachy, just lending those fresh juicier notes to balance the milk. It was so incredible. However, once it dried down, the musk took over; it became less milky and more basic vanilla. The milk is still there but it has this sour quality to it, the same sourness i found on the EDP's opening. Still good enough perfume to overlook it, but this fragrance smelled similar to Milk Drops except less green notes, and that one cost 15% of Molton Brown's price, and I'm sorry to say, better (except the longevity). If you love it, get it; if you don't, there are better alternatives for the same price. This, in a way, is a much better bedtime cozy fragrance.
