Why so shy?
After several reviews I have decided at some point this yet controversially discussed fragrance, me in the form of a sample to appropriate.
As a vanilla advocate, I was very critical of this fragrance. On the one hand, fragrances that I personally favor - on the other hand, these bad reviews that have almost prevented a purchase. In this case, I have then come to the realization that you should ultimately rather rely on your own nose :).
The first spray: OK wow!
I am enveloped by this indescribable mix of apricot and vanilla. Do not misunderstand, it is not this sticky synthetic fragrance tree apricot. No it almost seems refreshing, light. I'd argue it's even the precocious apricot that also just takes that pappy sweetness.
As time goes by, the vanilla dominates more and more, but does not impose itself but rather takes the role of "shy". Perhaps this is also the key point, why the durability (unlike the other Montales) is rather low.
This perfume is in my eyes well wearable on warm days as well as on cold days. The sillage seems to be good, as I already received a compliment for the second time.
In conclusion, I think and this is my personal opinion, Vanille Extasy should not hide behind the other Montale fragrances.
