dark purple lilac
Mury was founded in Paris around 1917. The flacons were produced in the Trélon glassworks from around 1925. (Link under my photo of Mury "Cuir de Russie")
I bought this bottle with the information that the stopper is blocked. Fortunately (in this case) the stopper came loose during transportation and the jolting in the truck. What experiments the previous owners undertook with this bottle is beyond my knowledge.
The color of the perfume has become very dark here, the perfume is no longer clear, it seems as if plant components have settled.
The perfume starts with a warm, earthy, voluminous note, it smells of rosewood and conveys calm. The scent of resinous buds and some lilac blossom emerges after 3 hours. Tabac and cloves join in. After 5 hours, vanilla leather is powdered with iris, small amber and some incense.
For me it is like visiting the Church of Peace in Świdnica (Schweidnitz), warm violet (occasionally warm reddish brown) with lots of wood that has aged gracefully and with little incense, I stand in awe in this opulent fragrance and marvel at the incredible architecture. A lilac greeting wafted through the window from time to time.

Midnight in Paris
ripe plums lie on the ground among the violets, star anise smells to me like finely ground cloves ... where from?
I stand in the antiquarian bookshop, take in the slightly dusty air and the dim lighting, photos of artists from the past hang on the walls,...

tart and warm time
The queen strides through her realm: the hyacinths shine at her in the most beautiful pale blue, the bright lilies of the valley sway in the grass, jasmine and roses sway in the gentle breeze, a little resin drips from the calyxes and wets the moss....
