No review yet about this Kajal from the same brand Kajal. This fragrance belongs to the Classic range and is officially categorized as a women's fragrance, but can also be worn by men. The range of this brand is overall very unisex with often beautiful fruity notes often created by Christian Carbonnel. This gentleman can definitely create these great fruity fragrances very well. This fragrance is rather a gray mouse with just over 30 reviews, which I can't understand with this great fragrance. It doesn't have anything really special, but you get a great fruity fragrance with musk, wood and a pleasant rose-iris combo. There is also a slight oriental vibe here. If you like the scents of Tiziana Terenzi, you might also find an alternative here. I don't necessarily see any similarity to Kirke, more in the direction of
Leo or
Telea. However, if you are looking for an alternative to Kirke with DNA that is not too similar, you could also find it here. Rather too expensive for the RRP in my opinion, but a good catch when on offer at around 50% less.
I particularly like the Kajal bottles and each one is a real eye-catcher. This one is a bit simpler in contrast to the others and it has a great blue liquid. The boxes are also quite pretty.
The fragrance is a great mix of fruity-fresh-citrus top notes, a floral heart and a great base of wood and warm-sweet-woody notes and light oriental notes. At the start, you get citrusy notes and a great creamy-sweet mandarin. These notes are not as fresh as you might expect, but more suitable for the transition and not quite so warm spring and summer days. Floral notes are quickly added with a sensual rose and slightly powdery iris. It already has a very clean and well-groomed effect, also because this typical musk overdose sets in. For many a KO criterion, I like this clean musk DNA which is also very present here. It's already quite clean and creamy. Warm, sweet and woody notes are then added in the base. A great but common mix of vanilla amber, tonka and well-groomed sandalwood. Musk is of course also abundant in the base. This fragrance also has light oriental vibes, but these are kept within limits. It is a harmonious creation that is not that extraordinary but is well balanced and pleasing. This fragrance also tends slightly in that "hairspray direction" and is therefore not for everyone. Nevertheless, this fragrance is not too heavy to wear.
Performance is as good as anything in the Kajal range. The fragrance notes are rich and appear high-quality and offer a great sillage with many hours of longevity. A convincing overall package.
All in all, a rather ordinary fragrance that has been elegantly and well designed by Chris Carbonnel. Those who don't like this "Terenzi DNA" should avoid this fragrance. I like this fragrance, which comes into its own in mild to warm temperatures and is wearable pretty much all year round.
