Better than expected!
No, I still don't own this pretty bottle! But it is on my "bottle-buying list" - clearly because of the appearance! As a cat fan, I have to have one of these Novae kittens! And "Shiny Violet" is the only one where I found a moderate offer online. However, a dear friend in perfumery recently offered me some decants at an absolute bargain price, so I took the opportunity to test SV extensively first.
My expectations for the scent were rather low... it seems that this brand places more emphasis on appearance than on the fragrances. Indeed, the scent did come across as somewhat synthetic to me at first spray, but that faded quickly. Today, I generously sprayed from the plastic TZ and found that the synthetic impression was no longer confirmed. SV is a nice, rather subtle, slightly fresh floral scent on me, primarily a mix of lily of the valley and jasmine, with neither of the two being overpowering. Unfortunately, I can't detect the top note, which I particularly regret regarding the blackcurrant.
SV is certainly not "great art"! But for those who buy the bottle for its design, they get a scent that can definitely be used in everyday life and leisure, as long as one is not an outspoken opponent of floral-fresh fragrances.
