Kitsch or Not Kitsch - that is the question!
Colorful and glittery! Yes, I like that - I have kept a childlike facet of myself. Whether it’s clothing (when I’m not wearing black), jewelry, or decorative items - colorful things attract me! However, I prefer cool/cold colors and definitely silver over gold.
This bottle, despite the golden ornaments, fits quite well into my taste. Ordered blindly… One can find such things kitschy and completely reject them, of course. The bottle design, however, is just on this side of my personal “kitsch limit” and thus gets a 9.0 from me. Moreover, it is made of very heavy material and does not look like cheap junk.
About the scent:
“Sunny Garden Red” is a typical floral-fresh spring fragrance, like many of its kind. I can at most recognize the rose as a single note, with a lot of goodwill the jasmine. Normally, my nose is quite sensitive to lavender (which I have come to like quite a bit), especially to pepper (which can unfortunately overshadow many other fragrance notes) - both are absent! Musk? Yes, it is probably responsible for the pleasant effect. The fact that there are already many similar perfumes on the market does not change the fact that SGR is, in my perception, a rather pleasant scent. However, there are definitely deductions for the longevity, which is quite poor.
Conclusion: the purchase is not necessarily worth it for the scent alone, as there are cheaper and more long-lasting options. But for those who buy the perfume for the bottle, they get a pretty scent that will hardly hurt anyone.
And I definitely need to get one of those cat bottles from the same brand at some point!
