Dessert on the beach

First, there is a strawberry yogurt filling of chocolate, soft and tenderly crispy in texture, coated in a sugary violet veil. It transitions into a glazed surface of salty caramel crust reminiscent of crème brûlée. You hear a tap, the crust crunches, it is porous and slightly bitter from the heat, and the whole thing is enveloped in a sweetly soft vanilla-toned layer. A linear taste experience with a lasting finish at standard level. I did not get to see the neon or hear the sea.

Solid synthetic amber

I became aware of Neon Amber by Molton Brown through a shower gel sample that I really liked. So I decided to test the Neon Amber Eau de Parfum as well.

The amber in Neon Amber Eau de Parfum is fundamentally very solidly crafted and has a subtly resinous, warm character, which I prefer in amber fragrances. Nothing scratches in my nose, nothing is unpleasant or overly resinous-spicy. I sense some earthy-woody notes and could imagine that patchouli is primarily at play here. Overall, Neon Amber Eau de Parfum is exactly what the color of the fragrance also suggests to my nose. Brown, ambered, subtly earthy wood. I don't smell any sweet or even floral notes. Instead, I detect synthetic ones.

I don't find Ambroxan unpleasant and can also enjoy true Ambroxan bombs like Dior Sauvage. And in "Neon Amber (Eau de Parfum) | Molton Brown," I don't find anything wrong with it, except that it results in a slightly synthetic wood note.
I also have a suspicion as to why Ambroxan might be included in the base note: the longevity.
The longevity of Neon Amber Eau de Parfum is really limited. I once gave it a 7; a 6 would also be justified in my eyes. So Ambroxan as a true performance monster possibly saves something here that the other notes likely wouldn't have achieved in the grand scheme of things.

In summary, a pleasant, woody amber scent with rather weak performance. Not a must-have, but still a good fragrance DNA.

It’s a blast

This scent is a blast... but really.
It’s loud, sultry, and striking.
For some, it’s definitely enchanting and comes off as sexy.
The name Neon is definitely fitting here.

I tested it, and at first, it took my breath away.

For me, someone who likes clean scents, it’s absolutely nothing.
I can’t comment on the longevity, as I had to wash this scent off immediately.
