Linear cheap Cherry
I write exceptionally short reviews about this house.

This seems to be one of the best constructed perfumes from this house and the reason for that is the cherry note being always either synthetic or made of Heliotrope and Almond. When the case is a latter one, Cherry lasts longer and it gives very authentic Amaretto vibes which is not a case here. Cherry is not cloying but the scent itself is very strong and everyone will notice you. This is all about imitating Cherry, I don't detect Plum or other notes easily. Like with all very synthetic scents the less is more, otherwise it makes a headache for you and for people around you. This scent easily attracts you during the first few minutes so you have to be patient and wear it properly to make sure that you like it until the end and you can wear it. The scent is somewhat linear so not because of that but you have to feel comfortable with despite of the intensity.

I don't consider this a gourmand, but a fruity scent. And it's worth mentioning that I like few clearly cherry scents. Usually cherry is always made of Heliotrope and almond, if I like it and it has to be more complex. I don't like Lost Cherry Eau de Parfum on its own, for example, but layered with Casamorati - Italica it's good. Also Wrap Me in Dreams is too boring, although the quality is good. Some gorgeous scents with cherry kind of aroma are Empire des Indes , Ambre Rubis , Sirène , Harrods pour Femme , Delphinus , Bloody Wood , Jump Up and Kiss Me Hedonistic and Blossom Love Eau de Parfum .

Thank you for reading, I hope you liked my review.

Loud cherry synthetic that becomes pleasant with Duchessa vibes for a (very) low price
No review yet for this beautiful cherry scent? It doesn't need to hide, as it gives me light Duchessa vibes. And for just 125€/100ml, it feels almost like a 'gift'.

Well, let's go in order!
The Maharloo seems to be available offline only at Parfümerie Thiemann. That's exactly where I got it! A big shoutout for your advice and effort - perfumeries like yours clearly show that "buying offline" is not out/should not be! :-)

Enough of the praise - onto the spraying:
The Maharloo starts with an intense, dominant cherry. Cinnamon joins in, and I somehow also perceive almond. The cherry is truly enveloping. Everyone will notice that you've just had your "cherry fix." Therefore, the certainty already: Please keep it to maybe 3-6 sprays (maximum!), otherwise I wouldn't be surprised if you are avoided at first. Very 'loud' scent.

The cherry reminds me more of an Amarena cherry. At least in terms of the synthetic aspect, it seems like they want to imitate a cherry bathing in syrup.
You might also catch a whiff of cherry BLOSSOM, as it actually becomes a bit softer after the first 5-15 minutes.

After about 30 minutes:
The dominant cherry weakens a bit. Just a bit. It's as if you've acclimatized in the room and the lenses of your glasses are clear again.
The tonka bean (hence my almond association) harmonizes really well with the cherry. Right now, I'm getting the vibes of Duchessa the most! There’s also a slight spiciness, but I can't assign it to a specific spice. Cinnamon? Less so. Licorice? Hmm... maybe the anise note from it? Could be.

After 1.5 hours:
The scent has become significantly more wearable. You are still enveloped by an intense, sweet cherry with almond, which has gained some creaminess - very welcome. This synthetic syrup sweetness is increasingly replaced by a more natural one, the benzoin resin.

The Maharloo has its best time in the following 90 minutes (total: 3 hours). Sillage and longevity are still very decent. The surroundings know that you are still in the room ;-)

After 4 hours:
The progression is quite linear. Nothing spectacular. A bit along the lines of "You get what the fragrance pyramid says." It becomes increasingly only perceivable close to the skin.

Hour 5-6:
The big show is over, but hey - it was a great performance!
It is now only very close to the skin and body. The great thing is: With this cherry-almond-vanilla drydown, it works well for the rest of the evening with your loved one. I can imagine that the man looks forward to the reunion when he still catches a hint of cherry in the evening! ;-)

----

Conclusion a bit unusual for me, but short and sweet:
• Beautiful, high-quality bottle with one of the best sprayers/misters I've ever experienced in this price range: Gentle, cloud-like spray.
• Quite synthetic and loud; could be off-putting for some. But has layer potential. Maybe with something leathery or something with prominent wood as a base.
• Strong longevity and sillage

• Unisex? Not really. For me, a great, feminine scent for the colder/cold days of the year.
• Daily wear? Phew... difficult... I would rather save it for the evening (after 6 PM). It would be a shame to waste the more noble DNA it exudes :-)

• Recommendation? No question - YES! For 125€, it feels like a 'steal'.

it's a sweet scent but not a headache. there's an almost bitter note that balances the sweetness of the cherry well.

Incredibly good. The better Duchessa? Cherry, almond, and tonka like in heaven. Longevity is extremely good! Love the scent.

Marzipan Cherry Overdose. Marzipan potato, maraschino cherry, extremely sweet, almost no scent development. Gets annoying pretty quickly, H&S super.

Artificial American candy cherry aroma. Marzipan. Turns bitter almond on a minimal floral base. Unfortunately too bitter for me.

Sweet marzipan with a lovely cherry. Reminds me of cherry wine. Warm and long-lasting feel-good scent. Very soft.
