I rarely do blind buy decants in amounts larger than 2ml because I'm cheap and I know it's hard to find something that I will use 10ml of. I broke my rule for this because Scentbird had it and I heard good things.
I am generally skeptical of Mancera as they have something in their DNA that sometimes rubs me the wrong way (and gives me a rash?!?! - more on that below) but this sounded amazing. My gamble paid off.
To me, this is the perfect coffee gourmand. It's very sweet but IMO the bitterness of the coffee makes it work. It has a toasty, caramelized quality to it. It's a pretty straightforward fragrance so I don't have much to say that hasn't already been said. If you like gourmands definitely try a sample of this. It's going to slap in the winter.
If you check my
Roses Vanille Eau de Parfum review you'll see that I got a rash from spraying quite a lot of it on my skin (like 3 sprays in one spot). I did the same with this one day on my neck and got the exact same hives! I do not have sensitive skin and this is the only reaction to any cosmetic/fragrance that I've ever had. IDK what causes it but if I only spray lightly on my clothes it seems to be fine. It'll just be a sometimes fragrance. Both this and Roses Vanille are super strong anyway so 3 sprays, let alone in one spot, is overkill.
I do have this on my "Full Bottles To Buy" list. Considering that it gave me a rash, I feel like this speaks to how much I liked it. Roses Vanille did not inspire the same love in me because there are lots of jammy roses out there while Amore Caffe is unique.
