Caden from the Arab House of Niche Haute Luxury Perfumery OmanLuxury from the Sultanate of Oman is a Leather, Spicy Amber Woody Unisex perfume. This new fragrance launched in May 2025; and the nose behind this fragrance is Maxime Exler. Inspired by Arabian hospitality, Caden is the essence of the Omani tradition of welcoming its visitors. This perfume pushes the boundaries of convention to offer an intense, mysterious, and deeply addictive olfactory experience. The fragrance begins by rejecting the usual fresh, citrus or floral exit, opting directly for notes with arabesque characteristics: warm and sensual.

Caden has a delicious top with warm notes and an unusually enveloping striking sweetness. The warm and spicy cardamom provides an aromatic spark that leads to the exotic intensity of golden, sweet, leathery and slightly earthy saffron. They are quickly enveloped by the deep, slightly smoky aroma of cade oil [an essential oil with a dense, woody, smoky profile], which introduces a raw, mysterious, and arabesque atmosphere. A light and slight boozy nuance, in turn, contributes to a volatile and effervescent effect, elevating the composition to a provocative and modern opening.

At the heart of the composition, the fragrance begins to cool slightly without losing intensity. The subtle sweet incenses of benzoin, with its resinous sweetness makes an almost palatable duet with coffee, this roasted coffee accord adds a dark and energizing touch bringing more warmth and depth, this coffee (qahwa) with cardamom (al hyl) is a typical delicious Arabic drink. While a well-present velvety soft leather introduces a luxurious and creamy texture, reinforcing the addictive and sophisticated nature of this intermediate phase. The fragrance is always permeated by a very luxurious ambery accord, bringing the well-known oriental signature.

Towards drying, the fragrance has a rich, sensual and long-lasting base. The duo with vanilla in the spotlight and tonka bean provide a creamy and enveloping sweetness, without exaggeration and without being cloying. The guaiac, with its delicately smoky and slightly earthy woody aroma, merges with the warm character of amber, while the dense, resinous and animalistic labdanum closes the composition with a dark and seductive side that leaves an unforgettable trail moving the perfume away from becoming a gourmand without asking for its tasty aromatic quality. Fall and winter seasonal. Masculine lean. Best matches evening and going out events. Strong performance. Strong sillage.

I typically stray from leathery accords but concede this is well constructed especially for those who vibe more with modern styled fragrance. The sweet, warm spices offers a pleasant richness.

Omanluxury Caden is a warm, sensual oriental-gourmand fragrance. It opens with saffron, cardamom, and subtle boozy nuances, then moves into a smooth blend of leather, coffee, and benzoin. The base of vanilla, tonka, and guaiac wood creates a creamy, sweet, and deep dry-down with a luxurious, seductive aura.

I was very skeptical before trying this fragrance because of all the social media hype surrounding it. Most of the time it's just paid advertisement from brands and the scents are a dissapointment. But this truly did deserve every bit of hype it got.

Wonderfully composed and perfectly blended gourmand notes with aromatics and woods that saves it from becoming too cloying and unwearable. The booze and the coffee note makes it more mature and versatile.

Decent performance as well. Only have a small decant but will defintely purchase a full bottle eventually.

Caden is one of the most popular niche fragrances in the Middle East, and probably globally, and I bought it blind without sniffing anything beforehand. The bottle is simple yet elegant and commanding, and the atomizer has great pressure and that niche quality.

The notes are saffron, cardamom, cade oil and boozy notes on top, suede, benzoin and coffee in the heart, and vanilla, tonka, amberwood, guaiac wood and labdanum at the base. The saffron opening is elegant, commanding and luxurious, luxury at its finest. It is unisex leaning masculine, made for special occasions, date nights and executive-level confidence. If you want to command a room, this is the fragrance for you. As you inhale more, it fills up everything in your being and keeps calling you back for more.

I came back to it after two hours and it hadn't changed, so from the opening to two hours you get that dark, saffron-forward, luxurious smell. The dry down is amazing and the longevity looks very promising. It is going to make my top 10 easily.
