Beautiful opening, disappointing mid
Disclaimer - my test was on paper.

I want to like this because the opening is beautiful. It's a bright, zingy citrus spice. But there is something that comes up in 15-20 minutes after spraying that smells (literally) fishy to me. Does Omanluxury use real ambergris? I can't figure out what it is, but it shows up and doesn't go away for me. I hate it because I love everything else about this one.

Lots Going On
There is a lot going on with this fragrance. Starts off nice and citrusy, but quickly changes and dances around becoming more woody and musky. Silage smells A LOT different than the skin scent, which is a good thing. Not awful, but not my thing. I highly recommend sampling before purchasing a full bottle.

Sprite in hand, feet in the sand, a day at the beach
My review today is dedicated to Overdose by Omanluxury, an unknown, under-the-radar and perfectly tuned summer freshness.
This perfume has one of the most beautiful openings I have ever had under my nose.

Overdose starts with an incredibly authentic and vitalizing lemonade - originally a freshly opened, ice-cold and sparkling Sprite.
The juicy lemon, in combination with a fruity orange, are in perfect harmony with a slightly tart grapefruit and immediately catapult me to the Bahamas with a cold drink.

The subtly embedded sage, in combination with peppery, spicy cardamom, has an invigorating effect, like an overdose of joie de vivre.
This is exactly what the fragrance radiates for me, pure harmony, energy and inner peace.
Comparable to a day at the spa - completely carefree, in harmony with yourself - and your worries are on vacation.

The magical top note is perfectly accentuated by a cuddly-soft sandalwood, a subtly creamy fig and a bright, clean orange blossom.
The subtly incorporated, slightly earthy saffron resonates unobtrusively and gives this DNA its unique twist.
The base is characterized by powdery-clean musk, fresh-peppery spice and a woody-soft sandalwood attitude.

After the incredibly successful sprite kick-off, minimal parallels to L'Homme Idéal Cologne come to mind due to the citrusy-creamy woodiness.
Nevertheless, the Overdose is far more sophisticated, exciting and clearly more harmonious.

A perfect summer companion with that certain unique selling point that has plenty of power for a citrusy freshi It lasts a good 8-10 hours on my skin (depending on the temperature), of which it is consistently perceptible for the first 3-4 hours.

A fragrance that fortunately flies under the radar and is probably unknown to most people.

For me, this composition radiates pure harmony, elegance and the feeling of freedom of summer in the far south.

It conveys a feeling of lightness and inner peace, comparable to a day at the beach, your feet in the sand and a Sprite in your hand.

A solid and beautiful summer fragrance
I've always been very interested in Overdose and now I've been able to test it every now and then for a few days.
It's definitely a beautiful fragrance. Especially in the initial phase, I find it really beautiful.
After that, unfortunately, it doesn't manage to pick me up strongly, but of course it's still a nice fragrance.

Overdose starts wonderfully citrusy, fruity, juicy, delicious.
The various citrus notes create a great overall picture and take you straight to summer. They are so pleasantly fruity, juicy and just somehow refreshing.

Over time, this ingenious citrusiness fades somewhat.
These thoroughly tangy impressions recede somewhat, but the citrus base remains.
There is now a noticeable but tame pepper accord.
The fragrance also gains floral facets, but these never become too intense.

Towards the end, it becomes noticeably woodier again.
Incidentally, the pepper note stays with me until the end.
The citrus is now almost completely gone, but hints are still recognizable.

Longevity and sillage are fine. By Omanluxury standards, I would say that the overdose is somewhat more restrained. But you also have to remember that this is a summer fragrance.
On my skin, the fragrance lasts about seven hours and the sillage is so partly, partly.
So at the beginning it radiates really well, but as soon as this peppery accord creeps in, the fragrance becomes a little more skin-like at the same time. At least that's my personal feeling.

Is the fragrance unisex wearable? I say quite clearly, yes!
All in all, it's a really nice summer fragrance that you can hold under your nose. I think many people will like it. Just like Wanderlust, by the way, from the same company.

An implosion of the citric
When you read the fragrance notes of Overdose, you probably think of a terribly sour cocktail of everything the world of citrus fruits has to offer. Understandable, but that's not the case. The citrus notes in Overdose cannot be over-scented, but I find that the fragrance tries with all its might to hold them back.

This results in a citrus note that does not work its way out of the fragrance but rather into the other notes. Wonderfully sour lemons with milky white flowers. A slightly bitter grapefruit with a sweet fig. A juicy orange with aromatic sage and so on. Each of these notes finds its perfectly balanced partner in the fragrance and allows the wearer to participate in it. I call the whole thing "Implosion" because I think this fragrance is one of the only ones I know that works inwards rather than outwards. That really fascinates me and makes it exciting every time I wear it.

A few more words about wearability: as already mentioned, it's not overpowering and definitely a fragrance for summer. I also like to wear it all day and not just in the evening. A little weak in winter but definitely wearable from 10-15°C.

Ambergis-heavy, salty, love/ hate scent. Wouldn't call it a summer fragrance, although it might be suitable for cooler summer evenings.
