In the beginning was grandma!

The wonderful "blue fern" came to me in a rather circuitous route. The first thing I remember was a "Mousson" forest fragrance that my grandmother always had with the cream and which I liked so much that I always wanted to snatch it from her. One nice birthday - was it the 12th or 13th, she gave me such a set. Of course, I can't remember the exact name of this "Mousson" fragrance. It's been a loooong time!
But sometime much later, about 2 years ago, I was wandering through a drugstore, smelling here and there... including bottles of bath foam. The "purple blue" one immediately caught my eye and I thought it was a "sniffer"! And who said it was... great sight AND smell: THAT was the mysterious Mousson from back then. On the spot, the memory (which had been pushed way back) came back! The 1-liter bottle of the 50th anniversary special edition of this "Felce Azzura" bath & shower foam went home with me! After that, I kept looking in souks and on the swap forum to see if I could find the eau de toilette somewhere.
Then, shortly before the New Year, I actually spotted the "object of desire" in the souk... and with a blind swap, it's finally here! The fragrance is wonderfully nostalgic and enchanting, it is very powdery without being too sweet. Spicy - with clove! Herbaceous-blue thanks to rosemary, a hint of woodruff in the background, moss underneath, fine musk as a delicate aftertaste and probably also some iris.
It gets even more exciting! A subtle, "smoky" cinnamon emerges from the background from time to time and gives the "Blue Fern" a slightly exotic note.
The main scent, however, is that of "forest" and lush meadow herbs. Clear, cool, powdery, "granny-like", wonderful! Now I can do both: bathe in it and then "scent" it ;-))
