The Perfect Scent
"Why do you collect perfumes?" I've been asked this question many times. Good question... because I can't decide among all the wonderful and interesting scents, I don't want to commit, or perhaps - just like in almost every area of my life - I'm constantly seeking variety? ;-)
One reason is probably the most decisive: The search for the perfect scent. You read reviews, advertisements, perfume descriptions, ingredients, and you suspect behind so many perfumes "THIS could be it, I haven't tried this yet... I MUST have it!"
With blind purchases, there are often surprises that don't match your expectations at all. So, as a seasoned perfumista, you distance yourself from blind buys, collect samples, visit countless perfumeries to test, annoy your partner at every airport, and rejoice over every little addition.
And exactly this last point led me to Perle Rare Gold: THIS is it!
Slightly sweet, but by no means too sweet, powdery, unobtrusively floral, the bitter and spicy notes perfectly highlight the flowers, and I just want to sink into this scent.
I think I would have liked this scent as a teenager as well; I can easily imagine it on any woman of any age and I don't want to assign it to any particular season.
For me, it's wearable anytime and anywhere, lasts for many hours, and compliments from both young and old, as well as men and women, are guaranteed.
