Lira Casamorati 2011 Eau de Parfum

Casamorati Lira is one of those fragrances that instantly makes me smile the moment I spray it. From the very first seconds, the opening is absolutely beautiful. It smells like freshly baked lemon cake, slightly sweet, soft, and very inviting. The citrus in the opening is not sharp or sour at all, but creamy and smooth, which makes it incredibly pleasant to wear right away.

As the fragrance develops, the gourmand character becomes even more noticeable. The vanilla and caramel notes come forward and give Lira its warm, comforting feeling. To me, it smells cozy, elegant, and delicious without being overwhelming. It has that “edible” quality that gourmand lovers appreciate, but it still feels refined and well-blended. Nothing in this fragrance feels harsh or out of place.

What I really love about Lira is how wearable it is. Even though it is sweet, it never becomes cloying on my skin. It works beautifully in cooler weather, especially in fall and winter, but I also enjoy wearing it on cozy evenings or special occasions. It feels feminine, soft, and luxurious at the same time.

In terms of performance, Casamorati Lira performs very well on me. It lasts around 8/9 hours on my skin, sometimes even longer, and the projection is noticeable without being too strong. People around me can smell it, but it never feels overpowering.

One of the best things about this fragrance is the number of compliments I receive when wearing it. I’ve been asked multiple times what perfume I’m wearing, especially because of the sweet, bakery-like scent. It truly leaves a positive impression.

Overall, Casamorati Lira is a must have gourmand fragrance for anyone who loves sweet, comforting scents. If you enjoy vanilla, caramel, and lemon cake vibes, this perfume is definitely worth trying.

I wonder is my nose learning Lira . I started with a 2ml decant that literally lasted an hour to my nose. But there was still something addictive making me want to try again. I got the 8ml decant from Scentbox subscription and ate it up so quickly mostly because I loved the scent but also because it just wasn’t lasting so I kept reapplying throughout the day. I still succumbed to getting the 30ml recently and today (waited a while cos I’ve gone through the decants so quickly) I decided to wear for a cuddly Sunday watching TV. So I applied Lira this morning at 8am (I am an oversprayer so just to put you in the picture 15-20 squirts). But my husband commented how nice it was and he doesn’t always do this. But for me the difference today is nuts. Not once has this disappeared from my nose. And now and again I have to go into my skin for a closer eye rolling sniff. It’s 4pm now and the skin scent has lost the citrus but still smells creamy and vanilla. My clothes however still smell the same as of 8 this morning. Sweet lemon cupcakes. So delicious. So either my bottle is different to the two seperate decants I bought or my nose has caught up. Needless to say I will be getting another bottle of Lira when this runs out. I’m in love. Maybe it’s how my nose is with casamoratti scents because I hated Italica when I first smelt that, like sickened me to my stomach, almost repulsed. But hey ho guess who didn’t give up and bought a full bottle?!

It is a pretty light citrus scent, not as gourmand as people make it out to be. Ive smelled better citrus gourmands from smaller/ indie brands.
It is very light and that is the most disappointing part, especially for the price it is.
The blood orange stands out the most to me and it smells great. It’s light and slightly sweet, not sour or anything either.

Girl, gtfo with Lira. Absolutely divine, slightly spicy, lemony caramel gourmand goodness. Ugh. Yes. This is heaven in a bottle. I'm a lemon gourmand girl - I f*ck with Bake, Unknown Pleasures, and Lira on the regular, even with my huge collection of 100+ options. I have never sprayed Lira on my body and wished I'd chosen a different fragrance for that moment. She works in every circumstance, definitely in my top 10 of all time. Warm weather, cold months, date night, at the office, working from home, bedtime... all of it. In one of the alternate universes where I wasn't an insane overconsumer of perfumes, I would have a signature scent so people would know I'd been there and this would be it. Love her.

This has a creamy, citrus opening that is a far cry from screechy or cleaning product-adjacency. It's immediately sophisticated. As this dries down, you get a little spice that gives it some depth and keeps it from being a linear scent like Bake, and then an hour or so later, you're left with this soft, delicious caramel drizzle that isn't too sweet. It's gourmand for grown ups, and I feel super sexy and sophisticated wearing this.

Sillage is pretty minimal, which is preferable for keeping this a versatile scent. The longevity makes me sad, though. It lasts just a few hours max on your skin, and not much longer on your clothes. I have to reapply this all damn day. But I really don't mind, since I love it so much. If this was more long-lasting, it would truly be the perfect fragrance to me.

You return home after walking through a lavender field, where a freshly baked orange tart awaits you. Notes of vanilla, creamy caramel and fresh citrus dominate this fragrance, while licorice and cinnamon are quiet. I have been happily wearing this fragrance for several years, and I noticed that in the heat it sounds brighter and more "voluminous".
