Japanese incense
This scent is very good.
Reminiscent of Japanese incense sticks.
It will look great on a woman wearing a kimono. To that extent, a fragrant fragrance.
The amount of one push is small and it is useful in Japan.
However, the bottle is bad.
But Satori follows me on Instagram in order to get more followers.
The scent is good even without that.
The number of followers is not just important.
If you don't have it, you can give it a scent.

This is 美しい.(beautifull)
The place where I tried this fragrance was at Kungyokudo, a long-established Kyoto incense store in Yokohama NEWoMan. It has been in business for over 425 years. It's interesting that this store sells scents that are Satori incense.
They didn't have the "Sakura", "Hyouge", or "Wasanbon" that I was looking for...I would probably have to go to Hokkaido or @cosmeTOKYO in Harajuku to get those. But I didn't have the energy to go to Harajuku on my day off. If you can, please do your best.

First of all, this fragrance does not have the flashy musk or amber of, for example, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, or Dior. It does not smell like a "designer fragrance" at all. And when foreign perfume companies sell perfumes under the name "incense", they inevitably have a scent reminiscent of India, but this is 100% Japanese.
It's difficult to describe, but when we smell perfumes from overseas, there is something that makes us recognize them as "foreign scents". And perhaps there is something that they, in turn, recognize as a "Japanese scent". I'd like to find out what that something is, but unfortunately I'm not a perfumer so I don't know.

As for the duration, it's probably longer than Santa Maria Novella, but I think it's good if it lasts for about 5 hours. In Japan, strong scents are not popular, so it's not a problem. So, what is the point that makes it recommended for overseas people? Well, it's a real Japanese scent that's not a lie or a tourist thing. There are a lot of perfumes out there that have Japanese-sounding ames or sell Japanese culture, but this is Japan. I lived in Kyoto, and if there was a Kyoto scent, it would be this. There's an atmosphere that makes it unacceptable to wear this fragrance and say dirty words, curse someone, deceive yourself, or eat a ridiculously big bag of potato chips.
If you look at the notes, you can see that this is the scent of incense. It's a very quiet, gentle, and solemn atmosphere. It may be a characteristic of Satori perfumes (I don't own any of them), but none of the notes stand out and it's not easy to pick out the notes. It's a very intricate blend, so it's difficult to explain; first there's this at the top, then this in the middle...it is not. It's like an orchestra without a solo scene, where everything is concentrated to create a scent with a purpose. I'm sorry I can't give a proper explanation, but this perfume is different from general designer fragrances, Middle Eastern and Western perfumes. It's very plain and unobtrusive. But it's uncompromising and beautiful. Modest, but with a core. That's the kind of fragrance (brand) it is.

What I wish Malle's 'Heaven Can Wait' could have been.
There is a gorgeous tranquility in here that makes me think of visiting a quiet Japanese temple during the days of the pandemic, when there was barely anyone around and you could have the place to yourself. You walk in and the smell of a smoldering stick of incense greets you. This is not the sharp, peppery incense of a church. It's much quieter, more soft-spoken, and powdery.

I was surprised how much this reminds me of Heaven Can Wait, but a much better version of that. Malle's creation was far too heavy on cloves and the iris was too dusty for my liking. That composition read screechy and ill-advised on my skin, whereas "Satori | Parfum Satori" is a cloud of perfection. The scent is a sage-green, smoky, balsamic spice that has a soft projection and moderate longevity. It is so beautifully blended that those notes sing together in unexpected harmony, rather than as individual notes or stages.

Stylish Understatement, Subtle Refinement
Satori (literally: "Understanding") means enlightenment in Zen Buddhism - the realization of the universal nature of existence.

"Parfum Satori" is the house founded in 2000 by Satori OSAWA, a perfumer trained in Japan by Kenji MARUYAMA. Particularly impressive is her excellent training in several traditional Japanese arts. In addition to Kodo (the art of incense ceremony), she also masters Kado (Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangements) and Sado (tea ceremony).
Satori OSAWA creates perfumes with the conviction that Japanese aesthetics are globally appealing ("Things with Japanese identity is valid to global standard").

Satori is a subtle, finely composed gourmand fragrance. I perceive cinnamon, clove, cocoa, and vanilla very distinctly, without the scent being heavy or sweet. Frankincense is only hinted at for my nose.
The sillage is very close to the body, which fits with the fact that Japanese people typically use perfume very discreetly.

A fragrance for everyday use as well as for an elegant occasion, suitable for the whole year. Stylish understatement.

The Magic of Subtle Tones…..
SATORI opens with a spectacular and extraordinarily beautiful Earl Grey note……fresh, delicately citrusy, subtly smoky, and after a few seconds interwoven with a barely perceptible ultra-fine hint of vanilla……

Gradually, the heart notes join in…….light as a feather and fantastically blended, they give the Earl Grey accord a whisper-thin, slightly sweet spiciness ……

Especially in the increasingly woody and subtly peppery base, the entire wonderful subtlety of Japanese perfumery art reveals itself……

Even heavyweight notes like oud, oakmoss, frankincense, and sandalwood appear here merely as an "idea" of themselves……delicate, soft, and almost transparent……

The initial Earl Grey accord has now receded into the background…..but still flickers up every now and then for a brief moment……

SATORI is a fragrance of overwhelming magic and captivatingly caressing ethereal beauty…..

A magic that I immediately recognize and feel, but to which I do not completely succumb due to my personal fragrance preferences……

Goes against today's trends of bluntness and loud cries for attention. Such a soft and delicate layer of aromatic-spicy incense powder

Try this on the skin. The paper do not does it justice. On the skin it is marvelous. Liquidified incense, clove spices… a pure marvel.

For an authentic Japanese scent, Satori is hard to beat, except it's quiet and no one will pay any attention to you.

Chypre in Japanese. The dark moss gently cuddles my toes. Serious and contemplative, but not for me.

Still a great scent. Spicy, sweet-powdery, and with a fine note of incense at the center. Timelessly elegant.

A harmonious blend of clove spice and green wood incense, delicately soft. An iris note (?) and a hint of vanilla make it even smoother.

Spicy and sweet, without being dark, woody, with a hint of light Asian incense in the background: The scent for visiting the Shinto shrine.
