Dry iris

I have tried before Madeleine from the same brand and It has quick become one of my favourite fragrances. A sweet and powdery almond which lasts the whole day on my skin (and It was the first time an almond scent do that). Therefore, as I am an iris lover, I decided to try pluie noire and... I must confess that I am a bit dissapointed :(

The scent of pluie noire is nice, a non-sweet and dry iris over fresh, Woody and spicy notes. But I didnt get the quality, and overall the performance , that I found un Madeleine, since pluie noire lasts only 4-5 hours on my skin and with a very los projection from the beggining. In adition I get no originality here since there are many perfume which smell very clóse.

I know that the quality of the fragrance is good, but maybe It is just not for me... I have a decant of It and I Will use It since I find It pleasant and easy to wear, but for my daytime Life and not for going to any special ocasión... I Will keep on trying more perfumes from parfumerie particuliere!

La Roca - The cliff diver

Dark the horizon. High up the rock and steep the way there. Looking up to the sky where darkness mates and lightning whips itself. You go up the path like so often to the rock. The air is electrified and metallic cool like the scent of juniper. Crackling, tingling and sharp. Step by step you walk the steep path barefoot over wild flowers that decorate the cliffs and rocks full of green-brown lichen. Undeterred and wildly determined. No fear, no fear. The wind sings in your ears the song of the seas of freedom and heroism. And you hum along as you approach the edge of the cliff. Now you have arrived and look at the black horizon over which dark, heavy clouds are chasing like furies. And you think... It won't be long now. The rain is coming!

And he's coming! In thick drops he hits the rocks and the neoprene skin of your suit. You close your eyes and take in the powdery-synthetic scent of the suit, which envelops you like black tar and which becomes more and more united with the metallic-cold aquatic effect of the cool rain. Slightly you lower your gaze downwards. The sea is stirred up by storm and spray. And in the moment when the first sweet meerschaum flake has been carried by the wind up to you, you know it is time. You open your mouth and you can taste it. The saffron-soaked, matt-mineral sweetness of rain. And so you spread your arms to fly like the wings of a bird and jump. And while the black rain around you and you race towards the sea, time stops for fractions of a second. You yourself become a black drop. Become one with your surroundings in an endless flight and you start to count! Three...Freedom...Two...Life...One...Security...Dive in...LOVE!
Pluie Noire-The black rain
is a green-flowery and synthetic aquat for me. But it's not a salty aquatic that comes to bear here, but rather the smell of the rain with its dull metallic sweet smell and taste. Juniper gives sharpness and coolness, like cold, electric air before a thunderstorm. Elemi resins in rubbery, resinous, green-brown nuances mate with herbaceous-floral rose geraniums. An almost mineral-powdery iris skilfully plays around the whole in combination with an aquatic-sweet water note. Pluie Noire smells somewhat unreal. Similar to a watered-down memory. It smells of wild-green nature, flowers, moist mineral rocks covered with lichen and a powdery-dry latex-neoprene note. Unusual,fascinating and strange-familiar!

Breaking new ground

"Pluie Noire", a fragrance for an urban environment (as the creators write on their website), is for me the hope of the house "Parfumerie Particuliere". If I had to make my hit list of PP perfumes tested so far, this fragrance would top it.

The ingredients of many niche perfumes now often behave like the members of the English House of Lords: they are always the same, for example, bergamot, cedar, leather, tobacco, amber, incense, vetiver, rose and of course oudh. Oudhy, spicy, floral, that seems to be the magic formula often used. Here, at last, it is completely broken. The two perfumers of PP tell a new story, without oudh, without incense, without leather. They use a new code that is not so easy to decipher, that everyone can and will interpret differently.
"Pluie Noire" does not flirt with the theme of naturalness, it does not strive to depict a realistic fragrance from the environment. The aquatic note is abstract, diffuse, unlike anything else. Elimi resin, iris, sage - I can't smell any of these ingredients in isolation. And that's just as well. Because "Pluie Noire" is an attempt at a bold perfume that plays with our idea of urbanity without concretely reproducing it.

It's a very tart, green-grey, melancholic, yet strong fragrance. Not exotic, not mystical, not associatively charged in the conventional sense. No opium-smoking maharaja on a purple divan, no blonde girl curls blowing in the balmy summer wind, no sweaty guy smelling of motor oil and sperm, but a long, straight, rain-soaked road in the semi-dark...
Therefore, "Pluie Noire" optimally hits the nerve of the perfumers' entire efforts to be different, is immensely helpful in the image construction of the new brand "Parfumerie Particuliere"... -
