Of Flowers and Sweet Woods...
... the scent progression of 'Aviator Black Leather' is determined. For shortly after spraying, the fragrance already feels very floral, also fresh and somewhat sweet. Unfortunately, I cannot detect the bergamot and lemon listed in the pyramid.
After a few minutes, something sharp sneaks into the floral part, but it doesn’t last very long; I suspect coriander as the culprit.
The floral notes that are initially dominated by neroli are further complemented by a lovely portion of jasmine.
And it doesn’t take long before the first woody notes, complemented by a bit of spice, can be smelled.
For the next few hours, 'Black Leather' is a floral scent that becomes increasingly woody. In my opinion, sandalwood plays the main role here.
In the last three to four hours, the flowers are gone, and the scent becomes very woody, with musk and amber adding a not too intense sweetness.
'Black Leather' is actually a successful fragrance for me, but I couldn’t smell where the leather is throughout the entire progression. However, the strong similarity to 'Sculpture Homme' by Nikos is unmistakable.
I like 'Black Leather' well in cool and not too warm temperatures, and the scent is suitable for work just as much as for the evening and going out; however, one should be careful with the dosage, as the projection is not to be underestimated.
