Vacation Surprise....

I discovered the fragrance in the overwhelmingly good Rituals store in downtown Amsterdam. And yes the store is really class and you can explore the really good scents of Rituals in a pleasant atmosphere on the 2nd floor.

But here it goes yes about the Nuit d' Azar.... And in advance I must mention that in my estimation the fragrance was relaunched, as the flacon design was laid out much more turquoise and got a more elongated shape. Whether he was formulated I can not say, however, because I smelled him in the store for the first time, but also bought directly... ;-)

But now to the fragrance. I must say quite honestly that the EDP has surprised me very positively. The citrusy tart opening with the sage holds really long and it then develops into a pleasant woody vetiver fragrance, which was still to smell with me after the shower. Raspberry and currant I get only a little to not at all...Durability I would put so on 8 hrs and the sillage is also good for a 40 euro fragrance.

The bottle is for the price also very well processed...vorallem with the wooden cap it looks very noble.

Conclusion: For the low price you get so really a great citrus masculine fragrance, which in my opinion can keep up with fresh niche fragrances. But in general, I can recommend everyone to just visit the next BIG Rituals store and sniff through. (...The Oudh pour Homme is also really great...)

My summer fragrance 2023

I haven't commented on any fragrances for a long time, but now that winter has set in and you're lazing around in your warm room because you don't feel like shaving off your bald walnut sack outside, I thought to myself: "Come on kid! Do something halfway useful!"
I also liked the idea of choosing a fragrance that I've actually worn a lot this year. At first I thought of Jil Sander Sun Men, but I only put it on after swimming. But then after a little thought, it was definitely this Rituals Nuit D' Azar. (Since my head is filled with excelsior, I have absolutely no idea how to pronounce it.)

I've often been to the Rituals stores when you have no idea what to give the opposite sex, it always scores points! My dear mom was delighted to receive a mix package, as was my aunt. Of course, I didn't miss the opportunity to look for something suitable for myself. At first I thought of the shaving cream from the Samurai range, but that wasn't for me. Instead, I ended up with this fragrance. As I am now very cautious when it comes to buying fragrances, I picked up the 15ml bottle first.
I also grew up in this consumer society, which is consumed by capital, and as we quickly lose interest in certain things and then want something else, I thought this was only sensible.
No sooner said than done. At first it was just a travel bottle for me. When we were in Amsterdam, then on the North Sea a month later in Constance on Lake Constance... I liked this fragrance more and more the more I wore it. There has only been one fragrance so far that was like this...

The opening starts quite fresh, light citrus, really light, barely perceptible, with an aquatic freshness, almost an ocean breeze and you immediately get to sniff something "earthy and smoky". Brutal! Almost elegant.
It doesn't change much in the drydown either. Only the aquatic citrus note disappears and the smoky note comes to the fore.

I put it on in summer, but in my opinion you can wear it all year round, it is truly an all-rounder. Whether casually for shopping, on a date, on occasions or even at work, it's absolutely acceptable. What's more, it is quite unobtrusive and doesn't take your breath away. (Dior Hypnotic Poison)

This proves once again: it doesn't always have to be multi-faceted and complex to be convincing. Onions also have many layers, but they still don't really smell good...
Of course, if you are looking for a fragrance that smells different every 10 minutes, or a mixture that is so extensive that you can't even define what you are smelling, you are in the wrong place here.

I'm the type of person on whom fragrances don't usually last long, which unfortunately also applies to my favorite... but this Rituals is still very noticeable on me even after half a day. I love it and it has made it into my "all-time favorites". The bottle is in its box on the secretary in the living room, always ready to hand.

If you boys don't know what you want to do for your dear mom, whether for Mother's Day or a birthday, or just as a gift, then take a look at Rituals. And then wander over to the fragrances and give it a try. Maybe it's worth it for one or the other.

A dream in fruit

I have to admit, I wasn't convinced by the scent the first time I saw it in the Rituals store. I then took the liberty of spraying it on my skin. What can I say, I am very glad that I did. The top notes were very good on my skin as soon as I left the store. A dream in currant rose in my nose paired with citric notes, and I was actually already convinced at that moment. Since I still had some work to do, I gave it a little more time and realized after half an hour that there was more to it than just a delicious currant. It was a little fruitier and spicier. The latter was probably due to the subtle sage. What I could still identify well was the patchouli. I wore the fragrance for a total of 60 minutes and went back into town to pick up a large 50ml + 15ml bottle. Unfortunately, it doesn't last very long on the skin. After about 4 hours there is nothing left to smell on the skin. Sillage is ok but also not outstanding. But in my opinion it doesn't always have to be. Nevertheless, I give it a clear buy recommendation.

I would describe the fragrance as fruity fresh with a hint of oriental flair.

The refreshing feel-good fragrance

The fragrance itself:
Very fresh and the bottle is definitely reminiscent of a blue freshness, this also remains in the nose, for the price absolutely a top perfume. In my opinion, it is reminiscent of a nice long and refreshing bath that helps you feel completely renewed. The fragrance conveys a relaxing freshness that you can definitely feel.

In my opinion, however, the sillage of the fragrance is still a little poor, as it doesn't have such a strong effect, at least on me. However, it is definitely there and you can still feel it even after leaving the room.

The longevity is also very nice in my opinion, as the fragrance lasts really well and also develops a little. The drydown is not too separate from the main fragrance, but is still perceptible.

The bottle:
I really like the bottle of the 15ml version as well as the 50ml version. I'm a big fan of Rituals fragrances because I really like the wooden lid and the simple but very appealing design. I was also pleasantly surprised by the bottle's atomizer. As with the 15ml version and the 50ml version, it is very good and dissolves the perfume extremely well. The fragrance cloud is large and lingers for a long time, as quite a lot of perfume is released with each spray.

Result:
For the price of the fragrance, it is definitely worth buying. The 15ml bottle alone lasts a long time and is definitely convincing for the reasonable price of €19.

Breathe deeply

fruity fresh ?

The currant and raspberry are very present

The sage gives it a breath effect similar to throat dragons which I absolutely love

Durability is unfortunately not so good for me 3 hours approx it lasts after that I would have to spray again

The fragrance itself I think is a 8.5/10

It is stated as a spring summer fragrance but I think it fits so easily into the beginning of fall due to the berry

This was my first Rituals but will definitely not be my last
