Other than expected ...

When I tested Solaris on a test strip in a small perfumery in Vienna, I was blown away. Summer and sun combined in one bottle. Unfortunately, I had already sprayed a perfume on my skin and simply took the small test strip with me.

When I got home, Solaris was constantly buzzing around in my head and without testing it on my skin, I ordered or bought it. It arrived yesterday. As soon as it landed on my skin I knew one thing immediately, mistake, very, very big mistake The Solaris develops on my skin, because of the very dominant Tiare' note, extremely indolic, plus the jasmine note smells very green and almost fleshy and sultry. Just creepy for me and I would unfortunately have to wash it off. Well, my own stupidity, for me it goes in the direction of Love Tuberose by Amouage as far as the green and fleshy notes are concerned, although no tuberose is listed in Solaris..

Many people love the fragrance and I understand why, but this green, fleshy and indolic note is unfortunately not for me. Luckily there is the Souk. I'm deliberately not rating the fragrance because it's certainly well made, so my personal rating wouldn't be fair to the fragrance.
