Stella Alpina - EAU DE PARFUM, not After Shave or: Mountain Meadow in the Summer Sun
I am writing this review for the new Eau de Parfum by Stella Alpina. Why don’t you suggest it as a new fragrance under Research and write it there, one might wonder. Apparently, I am not able to consider the complex necessities for a new proposal to be accepted, because of course, I suggested the Stella Alpina Eau de Parfum with photo and source. Dear Research Team, a thousand thanks for your (voluntary) work, a great effort that you put in privately. Perhaps a guide: "how to successfully submit a new fragrance proposal" for people like me, who have already failed multiple times at the (presumably justified) quality demands of the new proposal process (what a word!)?
Now to the Eau de Parfum: it does not differ in the scent pyramid from the After Shave. Above all, the name is programmatic - Edelweiss, without knowing how the flower itself smells, is an association I immediately have with Stella Alpina: a mountain meadow in the summer sunshine, blooming, many fresh herbs, bees buzzing, but from the slightly gloomy forest wafts a cool breeze that becomes icy after sunset - that is Stella Alpina: fresh, herbal, floral, creamy and - quite hidden - a certain sharpness. The whole thing comes without a significant progression, yet it feels very natural throughout.
Stella Alpina is clearly unisex for me, the longevity is not bad at all, but the scent remains quite close to the skin. At €80 for 100ml, I find that quite forgivable, especially since the Eau de Parfum, like all of this brand, comes in a really stylish packaging.
