Literally No. 1

Unfortunately, I only recently discovered this perfume,
but fortunately I did eventually.

It is very elegant, gets compliments, and performs well.

Jasmine, May Rose, and Oud are among the best in the category.
In my opinion, only those who truly know Roja's perfumes have been exposed to this special creation.

I look forward to wearing it again every time.

Solid is not good enough for a fragrance at this price

Pierre de Velay No. 1 is the first fragrance I am testing from Pierre de Velay. The brand doesn't polarize like Roja and probably for that reason, it has somehow gone unnoticed by me. No. 1 should change that. Yesterday, the moment finally arrived, and I carefully sprayed No. 1 on.

The top note strikes me as very smoky in some way; actually, there is no incense in the fragrance pyramid, but I always have the feeling of smelling it. Unfortunately, I can't smell the bergamot in the top note at all. For me, it seems that I can only smell the base notes permanently. I smell: oud, saffron, labdanum, patchouli, leather, cypriol, woods, and a slight floral component, which probably comes from the heart note. I can also detect a very light sweetness from vanilla. Unfortunately, I find it a bit disappointing that the fragrance seems to consist only of the base notes. No. 1 is simply nothing new or special; it is the typical oud, saffron, and vanilla combination that I have smelled so many times before. No. 1 does have a slight twist due to the other notes, but unfortunately, that is not enough for me. The fragrance clearly falls short of my expectations; I simply do not recognize a scent that is supposed to cost almost €600. I expected more here.
The longevity is good, with just over 10 hours. However, I find the sillage a bit restrained, and for me, it is even slightly under an arm's length, but this sillage lasts for almost 10 hours.
