Waaw Rasasi 2017

Sotoor Waaw by Rasasi offers a captivating olfactory journey through rich spices, warm woods, and soft resins. The initial burst of cardamom, cinnamon, and saffron is immediately engaging, creating a vibrant and spicy opening with a hint of nuttiness and pepper. As it evolves, the sweet, resinous gurjan balsam takes center stage, balanced beautifully by a subtle touch of clean lavender. The earthiness I get with this fragrance combined with the amber and sandalwood is so good and sweet with a creamy touch if you know what I mean , I would recommend this mainly for date nights or casual business meetings this one is a 7.3 outta 10 as Cubakbow would say this is definitely a ball sprayer

I have to say that Rasasi is a very special brand for me. In my eyes, they have a significantly better quality than comparable designer fragrances. This applies to the bottle, which is beautiful, as well as to the sprayer and the juice itself.

Let's talk about the scent. It is a sweet but very clean scent DNA. You can clearly smell that it has something oriental about it. There is a distinct sweetness to it, with cinnamon harmonizing perfectly with sandalwood and the other flowers and woods. The fragrance is generally quite floral; imagine 80% sweetness paired with 20% floral notes, and you have the scent. It has been compared to 1 Million a few times here; it definitely leans towards sweetness but, in my opinion, has nothing else in common with it. Nevertheless, I must admit that it’s a compliment that it smells so good, and you want to get closer and closer because the sweetness draws you in magically, and it is not 1 Million.

Now, let's discuss the sillage and longevity. This thing is a monster. Two sprays, and the entire bus smelled for 2 hours after application, absolutely within 1 minute. Better not in closed rooms, as it is veeeeeery potent, which on the other hand is really good ^^. Others can smell it too. It projects strongly, which makes it feel intrusive to me. 24 hours on skin is no problem. The stuff sticks to you; it has a very high fragrance oil content that lasts even after showering. Clothes carry the scent until the next wash.

I recommend wearing it alone in winter or autumn.

Now for another great feature to counterbalance the immense strength and to lighten up the sweetness that just needs to be lightened because it is so strong, I simply layered it, and it is the perfect scent for combining! You can pair it with any fresh or citrusy fragrance. To give a few examples: Hawas Rasasi, Sauvage Dior, Dylan Blue, Creed Aventus, and everything in that direction. With this combo, I have never received so many compliments. I always spray the scent once and the fresh one four times. When I'm outside and not going anywhere, I do it twice and five times the fresh one. The combo is great ;)

So, the scent is good but not a must-have. If you already have a sweet fragrance in the direction of 1 Million, then this one is not necessary. Although it is unisex, I see it more on a man despite the flowers. The scent emphasizes a person. If you want to be sure that people can smell you and that it emphasizes your dominance, this can be your companion on colder days :)

First of all, I have to say that I am a bit of a Rasasi fanboy. I find that most of their fragrances offer very good value for money. While not every scent appeals to me, I have definitely embraced fragrances like Hawas or La Yuqawam.
Based on the fragrance pyramid, I ordered Sotoor - Waaw blind.
Upon the first spray, the spices literally blew me away. The day before, I had worn Herod by PdM, and I was impressed by how well the Rasasi held up against Herod in comparison. (at least during the opening)

I’m not really that good at describing fragrances as vividly as so many talented people here. Nevertheless, I will try to at least outline the scent direction to give you an idea of where this is headed. (and of course, because I have a lot of fun doing it)

A fine, pleasant, light sweet cloud of cinnamon spread out upon spraying, accompanied by delicate lavender, pepper, and a hint of saffron. An impressive opening, that much is clear. Still, it’s no comparison to Herod, which obviously plays in a different league.
It is more reminiscent of a mix between Wanted by Night and One Million.
For the first 15-20 minutes, the spices are very present, and it projects strongly. (Similar to Wanted by Night) After that, Sotoor - Waaw feels sticky sweet on the skin. I wore about 10 bottles of One Million during my puberty (not all at once), so I can claim as a "connoisseur" that the scent definitely has a certain DNA of One Million, but it is much spicier and not quite as vulgar.

Conclusion:
So what do you get in the end? A spicy sweet winter bomb that is sure to appeal to a younger audience. Fans of Wanted by Night and One Million might want to grab this one blind.
Once again, the price/performance ratio is very good! Projection is about 1-2 hours depending on skin type and spray amounts. Longevity is around 7-12 hours. Once again, a great scent from Rasasi, even if it’s not a masterpiece.

So? Curious? Rightfully so. Anyone who doesn't have this scent on their radar has definitely missed out, but now for the details.

I find myself in the forest, it smells of wood, plants, and the birds are chirping. A deer scurries past me on the right. I feel comfortable, as I know this place well; I have been here many times.
A forester comes by and asks if I can smell these rare woods; he hadn't noticed them until today. I tell him it might be my perfume, he steps a bit closer, but not too close, as we all know it has to be 1.5m apart, and confirms that it is my scent cloud. The distance doesn't affect the fragrance, as its sillage is good.
The forester asks, what is the name of this scent?
I respond with a loud Sotoor!!! WAAW! He flinches and replies that he only wanted to know the name and that it wasn't meant to be a declaration of war.
No, no, the scent is called that. A strange name, but he writes it down and moves on.

I walk a bit further and am pleased that I have made someone aware of a rather unknown fragrance. I perceive it well, these woods, which are flattering and not unpleasant, the spices, which are hardly noticeable individually but harmonious as a whole. It is simply a beautiful, rounded autumn/winter scent.
I have now been on my way for 6 hours and arrive home. My wife is waiting for me; she is not necessarily a fan of strong, woody scents. Today, however, she tells me that I smell good. This makes me happy and confirms that the longevity is really good.
A few weeks ago, I had concerns, not about the quality, longevity, or scent, no, I was worried about where one could wear this fragrance. At work, people already walk away from me with less, so it is not well-suited there. In my free time, during a walk, it is perfect.

It doesn't cost the earth and offers so much. There are many fragrances that have this quality, stepping away from the entire mainstream; they just need to be discovered.
