In Arabic Yuqawam means irresistible and sure it is. Magic night seducer, totally westernized with just some oriental sparks. Sweet raspberry, non intrusive purple saffron and some herbal accords, followed by sweet jasmine and dusty white resins. This fruity-herbal sweetness is on the beautiful soft suede- leather base.
LY really reminds me of Byredo - Black Saffron but more refined, darker and deeper. Performances- great. Compliment galore scent.
The packaging is unbelieveable. Big magnetic wooden box contains almost black bottle with wooden cap. LY is really irresistible.

Tuscan clone

This indeed is a very good copy of Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather at a fraction of the price! The raspberry note a bit more prominent. The longevity and sillage are very good.

Rasasi / La Yuqawam pour Homme

Let me start by saying that after buying a 10 ml Tuscan Leather TOM FORD I became a big fan of this fragrance. Due to the exaggerated price of Tom Ford, I read on the Internet, watched youtube and because six months ago there was no La Yuqawam fragrance in Poland at reasonable prices, only above PLN 500, or it was unavailable - I found that "since it smells very similar to Tuscan Leather- I will take a risk and buy it on ebay. It came after a week and ....Tuscan Leather on one hand, La Yuqawam on the other.
I never thought that some perfumes that are similar could be better, usually - similarly fragrant, maybe less deep, of some ingredient, maybe they hold shorter ... and here ... it's the VERSEER.
THIS is a MONSTRUAL fragrance and better than Tom Ford, a masterpiece. A fragrance with greater depth, exceptional variability, attracting the attention of people, guests at work, women on the street, in a club, restaurant ... MONSTRUM ... BEAUTIFUL MONSTRUM. Leather, raspberry, then suede ... a light sweetness.
It stays on for a very long time, it smells long and distinct. The best fragrance I have smelled, which is not the progenitor of a whole range of similar fragrances. If you like Tuscan Leather, Ombre Leather, Ombre Leather 16, ... etc ... I RECOMMEND HIM and it is enough with a vengeance.

On the stale side......

I'm really trying to enjoy this but for some reason when I sniff my arm on which I have sprayed this scent all I can think of is tobacco, stale tobacco, not the fresh sweet pipe type......just cigarette-like.

Also the leather just has an old worn very aged leather smell to it. Maybe if I walk around outside it might be a different story but when I wear it indoors at night before I go to sleep I'm just not impressed.

To my nose the scent does not evolve. No raspberry or sweetness to speak of.

An honest applause for this one

Like I mentioned on my Tuscan Leather review, this perfume came into my radar as alternative to the OG, so I pulled the trigger and got myself a bottle to compare.

The packaging is extremely well made, many niche houses *cough cough: Creed, Parfums de Marly* can learn a thing or two from Rasasi on how to make a special box with magnetic closure.

Then the bottle has a matte finish with a real wood cap, smooth .. so far the initial impression is very positive. Now let´s check the perfume:

- It does start a bit synthetic, almost like a glue smell which if you sniff the paper will almost give you a headache;
- The sprayer is awesome, will dress you in a cloud of perfume and you can feel it really well;
- It starts very fruity with almost no smoke or leathery note, for my nose which is weird for a smoky alternative to TL;
- It dries down very beautifully, smelling natural and fruity with something woody and so nice in the background, I really enjoy this smell by itself - not as TL clone;

In few words, I wanted to find a TL twin and I found out a very nicely done perfume by itself. For the price and the presentation this could cost twice and still would worth the money.
The longevity of this scent is quite meh for me, nowhere close to the TL like many people are claiming.
