Signature for Woman Replay 2017

Replay is a contemporary brand linked to casual clothes and a Young style. This fragrance, enclosed in a black bottle with coloured flowers, is meant for "girls" of all ages which have a dynamic but also romantic soul.
I smelled the scent and at the opening a cloud of fruity notes arrived to my nose, but immediately I smelled the flowery heart, fresh but also round and very feminin. The base is less noticeable, but anyway pleasant, with the musky notes and a touch of patchouli (very light) and vetyver. I didn't smell the amber on the moillette and on my skin too.The sillage is average and the price quite affordable.
So, an everyday scent to wear in the free time or at the office too, because it's fresh and discrete. Perfect in springtime by day or by night too if you're wearing something casual or if you have to go to crowded places.

I became aware of Signature for woman by Replay because of the beautiful bottle here on parfumo.
I had never paid attention to this brand before. Eventually, I ended up with a nearly full bottle.
I have been wearing the scent repeatedly for some time now and I'm still torn - I like it very much, but somehow it seems like it won't work out between us. I'm also having a bit of trouble with the rating.
It is considered a scent twin of Narciso Rodriguez For her, but I don't see it as a perfect scent twin. However, it does go roughly in that direction and smells really good.

I can't really identify anything from the top notes. The scent is rather compact and doesn't break down into its individual notes. So, there's not much development to be seen, but it is still beautiful.
It is very musky and patchouli plays a significant role here as well. I can also detect rose geranium and ylang-ylang, which blend nicely with the musk and patchouli. So, all in all, it is truly a very beautiful scent for little money.
Unfortunately, it doesn't last well on me, or rather, it becomes very close to the skin after an hour, which I don't like. Maybe my skin just absorbs it too quickly; it seems to last well on others - but for me, it's a no-show.
As beautiful as it is, I think I would rather stick to the original Narcisos, which have all convinced me so far.

Here I am, with what is probably the last pack from the clearance sale, thinking to myself, "What have I done?! I already have so many perfumes..." Only: this beautiful flower-printed tester in the drugstore had caught my eye. And then I read before tearing open the cellophane that the bottle isn't even inside the black, brightly flowered packaging, just some plain labeled thing. Grrr! "What do I do now?" Three "do not steal" stickers are plastered on it, owed to the "dear" customers, as if it were not a designer fragrance but at least a Lagerfeld from his past better era.

Curiosity killed the cat. Of course, I opened the package and the fleeting question from the first comment is answered: It is the paper label, both front and back, and the black bottle with the old-master flowers is also very pretty. A very composed patchouli wafts towards me and I remember that I didn't buy the scent at launch because the patchouli had disappeared so quickly and the test ended up being subtly fruity-floral. The jasmine reminds me of that in Penhaligon’s Peoneve, the tricky blind buy, but much more discreet, so it doesn't bother me. Floral, powdery, warm. I don't have an NR for comparison at hand, maybe another time...

Just under five hours later... I: "How you smell, you smell nothing. Or hardly anything." The man: "But hello! Sweet! Phew!" There must be amber and musk. If I admit that my nose is *sniff* I can no longer show my face here, so Vi*.*.in a*.t, time to go shopping. Outside it smells animalic, but distinctly fecal. Yuck, dog sh*.*.n, let's get out of here! The nose is definitely no longer blocked, with a lot of goodwill on the wrist there's still a hint. Why they call it "Chypre," I don't understand, but let's consider it an honorable attempt to take a slightly different direction than the brand's usual musk-vanilla base. "It only danced for one summer" - "Replay Signature" too, and it won't break my heart because it takes a bit more for a fragrance to do that.

PS: I definitely do not want to express that it is unpleasant; it is quite likable and scores significantly better in the rating points than other fragrances from the brand. The desire for a bit more longevity probably collides with the ever-faster spinning designer fashion and retail carousel.

I was at a supermarket chain based in southern Germany today that also sells drugstore items when I realized that I wasn't wearing any perfume.

I immediately liked the dark flower-painted bottle, so it had to be the one.

A striking, pleasantly powdery dry floral scent wafted around my nose right from the start. Even later, after finishing my shopping, the scent experience remained the same. I couldn't detect the citrus or fruit components listed in the fragrance pyramid, but that doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Later, friendly amber shines at me, and the (usually a wild card for me :-)) patchouli is so beautifully integrated here that it simply grounds me wonderfully along with the vetiver.

For me, this scent is a very positive surprise. The similarity to Narciso Rodriguez, which has been described several times here, is recognizable to me, but to label it as a twin, it lacks not only the warmth and depth of vanilla but also a lot of sillage and longevity.

However, anyone who enjoys powdery musk floral scents could definitely consider a blind purchase at this price, or at least give it a test.
