Don't lynch me!
I'll probably be accused of heresy and treated as a leper if I give my opinion on this perfume or the brand, but anyway... what the heck.
Am about positive reviews to try the Reb'l fleur fragrance range and was not disappointed, on the contrary. Am actually not a big gourmand fan (don't know a female name for it, unfortunately). I find that Rihanna's scents stand out positively from the multitude of other gourmand representatives in that regard. Since they are simply not so overwhelmingly sweet that one gets dizzy from it, since they have character of their own and since they can conjure up a good mood with me out of nowhere.
I'm now writing about the least hyped Reb'l 7fleur relative.
Yes, the scent is sweet, but it retains a certain lightness and evolves nicely, which is not the case with many other sweet gourmand scents , I have tried. Even with reputable brands. At the beginning, there is still some freshness wafting from the top notes, but later on, all that remains is the sweetness, which then often slays me with its one-dimensionality. Rihanna is one of the few that has managed to balance the sweetness harmoniously with sour notes without the scent clearly drifting into something edible. It smells delicious, yes, but I don't have to worry about being asked on the street by hungry passers-by where the nearest baker is.
He is not particularly long-lasting, that wants frau but also not always that the fragrance stays long.
And now comes what I'm afraid to say, because I'm probably immediately accused of lèse majesté and anyway how dare I compare the great Madame with Rihanna, but I do it anyway. For me, there are parallels between Chanel scents and Rihanna, in a good sense. No imitation or attempt to copy. Not at all It's just in the scent construction that something seems to resonate in common to me. So, now I'm going for cover.
