old fashioned tuberose

very nice fragrance...soft and clean and maybe a little bit creamy and soapy...i detect an old fashioned tuberose in the middle of a huge flowers bouquet...jasmin has also an important presence...i find it very feminine but sincerly i don't know if i can see me wearing it...it is a perfume from other times...

A Prayer to Roccoschinski!

You all know the exclamation: "My dear Kokoschinski!!!" No matter what it's used for, whether one discovers or experiences something positive or negative.
Of course, Roccobarocco is something very positive, and I should write a baroque, flowery comment. But I'm just not in the mood for crinolines, white powdered faces, and lice in wigs. Besides, my page boy has the day off today. You don't know what a page boy is? They held the bowl for the high lords when they needed to relieve themselves in the Park of Versailles.
Roccobarocco came to market long after the death of the Sun King, and I doubt he would have liked it. But I like it, and I recommend it to all Chypre fans.
Roccoschinski starts with a green-creamy mousse of juicy citrus fruits. I have never smelled an opening like this in a fragrance, and I have tested over 800.
The flowers in the heart note are enveloped in velvety notes. None dominates. It's a fine yet distinct floral intoxication that lasts for hours. Neither sweet nor artificial. The sillage is pronounced but not overwhelming.
Well, the dry down is hard to describe. I have never smelled such a creamy-warm Chypre, and yet it is one! No woodiness, no vanilla dominance. However, there is density and fullness from everything. Wonderfully rounded yet very unique.
Ah yes, there have been fragrances for which I wanted to stand at the train station with a red bag and/or sell my body. But in our little corner, the sidewalks are rolled up at dusk, and the moon is pushed into the sky with a pole. What am I willing to sell to get this fragrance?...
