Piazza di Macedonia della Frutta
Macedonia, Italian for fruit salad, is theoretically the correct designation for the fragrance named after the location of Rocco Barocco's showroom (actually Rocco Muscariello). According to its website, it has already been discontinued, and the only perfumes still available from this label are Rocco and Roccobarocco per Lei. The showroom was opened in 1974 in Rome, and Rocco Muscariello belongs, like Renato Balestra and Coveri, to the much too little known Italian designers.
Piazza di Spagna Uomo does not hurt anyone, it is an ideal summer companion that surrounds you with a cloud of citrus aromas and especially noticeable pineapple. Memories of hot carefree days at the Lido with heaps of ice cream, granita, and Macedonia come to mind. Coupled with wafts of long-discontinued after-sun products. After one to two hours, there is a pepper-pimento explosion that is only fleeting and fades away quickly. It takes seven to eight hours for the last spicy components to completely disappear, which do not disturb the summery character but, on the contrary, even enhance it, so it has quite a decent longevity.
