Simply Irresistible...
I would have to disagree with Hermesh...I can detect some florals (such as jasmine-which surprisingly is a note I normally cringe at when I can spot it)...cardamom, spicy saffron, sage but I disagree because I do smell a slightly medicinal oud. In fact I find the oud to be quite dominant with Oud Al Melka. It is not a barnyard or fecal type oud nor is it cheesy. Royal Crown tells me that this fragrance contains the highest concentration of (Burmese) oud in comparison to their other offerings which contain oud. Sidenote: I should mention that there is a new Oud on display at 2017 Esxence in Milan and I am excited about this one. Back to the review... there is this ultra soft, super attractive, lightly sweetened (Tonka), mildly animalic musc which balances the medicinal oud and takes over the mid and base. To be honest, this slightly medicinal oud presents itself in the opening then merges with a mélange of florals, sexy musc, and warm-soft-spicy accords that is simply irresistible. The performance projects and lasts all day long. One or two sprays is suffice. There is never a need to reapply it. An interesting fact: the juice is actually a light "neon-green" color which I found was interesting. My rating will have to be 10/10 in all categories. Price is €527/100ml.

The Fairy Tale of the Perfume for the Fair Princess
Once upon a time, there was a king who had great sorrow with his daughter. The girl was indeed lovely to behold, but instead of picking flowers and singing little songs, she ran around the stables, searched the forest for spices, reveled in the mist of white blossoms, hunted wild animals and tanned their hides into leather, chopped noble trees into firewood, and firmly milked the musk oxen during mating season.

The father was very saddened by this - which nobleman would want such a girl as a wife? Especially since the daughter had made it a condition that she would only accept the one who could bring her an excellent perfume. Whoever failed in this, had lost everything.

Many dared to take on the task, for the king had staked not only half but, just to be safe, his entire kingdom. Some tried with scents of the most exquisite fruits, others brought essences of the most glorious flowers, but none succeeded in pleasing the daughter, and the child always reached for the sword. Soon the space in front of the castle gate was filled with stakes bearing heads that she had severed from countless failures and had mounted there. Meanwhile, the moat was increasingly filled with the severed limbs of those fortunate ones whom the fair one had graciously spared their heads.

One day, a prince from the distant land of Lombardy rode up and requested a day and a night to solve the task. When he saw the princess running around the stables, he followed her lead and cleverly captured the gentle scent of the cattle with a damp cloth. In the forest, he rummaged around the same spots as his beloved. From the white blossoms, he miraculously extracted an aromatic oil. Then, using alchemical art, he created a scent reminiscent of coarse leather. In one of the felled trees, he found a resinous wood of special fragrance, and finally, he ventured at night (when surely no one from the "Sun" was watching) to the musk oxen.

From all these ingredients, he quickly produced a potent perfume. And behold! - it pleased the maiden exceedingly, and she consented to the marriage. Thus, the Lombard prince married the king's daughter and became the (official) ruler of the entire realm. He was allowed to keep his head, and his member remained unscathed.

At least during the day.

------------------------

What now - this robust juice with a dirty base musk note of monstrous longevity is supposed to be a scent for princesses? The text actually states: "A dreamy Oud for princesses...". Aha. It must be of the kind without the pink dress.

I thank Yatagan for the sample.

Opens jasmine sambac vs. labdanum & incense. Initially woody-leathery oud w/ prominent smokiness (barbeque), mild yellow florals in drydown.

Initially spicy, then floral and "adult", with ylang-ylang giving a vintage accent. To find oud, one need to look really hard.

Wonderful oud :) first leathery, tobacco-like, softly minty, spicy cardamom. Quickly turns into a lush oriental (Ylang Ylang & Jasmine) with a dreamy musk base :) Diva!
A bit dirty already ;)

Oud is only present briefly in the top note, then a bursting cornucopia of flowers unfolds.
