Can you make a bad purchase at a price of €8? Yes, you can.
Due to the good rating here (currently 8.0/10), I became aware of the Rise and added it to my order. Actually, the fragrances could have already given me a hint that there might be something strange: Sweet and fresh? Green and synthetic? And then some wood on top of that?
Apparently, the Rise brewed up whatever was left in the fragrance cabinet.
The citrusy top note is smothered by the cardamom. No freshness kick.
Melon and mint in the heart note could give a fresh, fruity impact - if they weren't dragged down by "herbaceous notes". At times, I had associations with an inflatable plastic paddle boat.
Are we hoping for the base note with amber, sandalwood and cedarwood? No, the hope is in vain. The "herbaceous notes" still linger, leaving a slightly musty fragrance that would invite us to take a shower soon if it weren't for the limited longevity of the Rise
Rise is not a refreshing fragrance, not a green natural scent, nor a cozy, warming woody scent.
It wants to be everything together at the same time and is therefore none of these things in total.
I can't think of a situation where I would want to wear it.
