Face to Face with Blue Iris

Somehow, this reminds me of a song from the "New German Wave"... The band was called "Ideal" and the song's refrain was: "Your blue eyes make me so sentimental! When you look at me like that, everything else doesn't matter! Such blue eyes...."
This scent has that kind of "vibe." All in all... the "heart" of the fragrance. Lavender + Iris = cool blue. Ice blue, blue lilac, royal blue, sky blue. IRIS BLUE! Blue powder.
Framed by other "colors" that lie above and below this blue. Warm orange! Vanilla beige and light wood brown. Yet from all of this, the blue eyes emerge. They watch over it. They connect with the spice of cardamom and the bitterness of cedarwood. They look awake and a bit mischievous. Then again, slightly melancholic. They subtly change the mood. They gaze through damp autumn fog and the heat of summer. They let lavender fields come into view.
And cool forest patches.
Good! Enjoyed sniffing it! Powerful and almost "niche" ;_))

Surprise with a Memorable Value

Following the reviews here, I bought the Ahead from the range at the local Action store. I like it very much. Should I also take others from the range? I quickly overcame and successfully resisted my good intention of not buying cheap fragrances anymore. Among the last two EdTs still on the shelf was this Hero.
The first sniff was disappointing, an old man’s scent in a weak form. The second time, I found it interesting, and then I puzzled over what the scent reminded me of.
It’s a good memory: my regular sauna in Berlin in the 1990s, the BLUB, unfortunately burned down. Countless infusions with anise, birch, etc. had left their marks on the wooden paneling. Perhaps many saunas smell like this, including some of the many I have already visited. But it is by no means a typical sauna scent. Still: In my mind’s eye, the infusion bucket is still in Britz. And so the "Hero" has every chance of becoming my spring fragrance for 2021.
I find an anise note with a bit of sweet wood and a touch of freshness. The scent lasts well, develops not spectacularly, but noticeably. This is definitely a serious perfume, much more than one would expect at this price.

It's cheap and performs quite well, lasts about 6-7 hours and projects for 1.5-2 hours

Great DNA for Iris lovers.
How does it smell? Like 9.0 without juniper; Seduccion Magnetinca w/o mint & ginger.
Lavender+iris+vanilla+cedar!

In the blind test, I didn't think of a cheap scent, my wife thought of Valentino Uomo. Amazing what can be done for just a few euros...

Similar to DIOR Homme for €11 and with great cardamom and mandarin. STR8 are very good and affordable, but they don't smell cheap. Bullseye!

Sweet fruity fougère (raspberry) with a sweet, powdery-woody base (coumarin, vanilla, aroma chemical wood). Slightly creamy. Pleasing. Great price/performance.
