Similar to Dior Homme

Firstly this is a really great fragrance, I picked this up in the UK for about £16 in TK Maxx after spotting the iris note and being a big Dior Homme fan I decided to give it a go. There's virtually nothing out there about this, I can't find other reviews, it's not on Fragrantica etc but if you can find it and you like DH, buy it. It's not quite as smooth or as well blended as DH and it takes a little while to soften, but it's got a lovely resinous base with that classic powdery, iris note. The perfomance is really good too, not monster sillage, but it easily lasts all day and I struggle for longevity with a lot of fragrances on my skin. A real hidden gem.

Woods and Resins in Their Most Beautiful Form

Again a fragrance that I didn't know until now. In the farthest corner of a small perfumery (owned by an elderly couple), it stood all alone waiting for ME! Mrs. L. said: "This is still a tester from a while ago, we no longer carry this scent. If you want, I can let it go for a very good price."
And then it was mine (after a short test).
Almost 100 ml in a beautiful "ribbed" bottle, through which the light shimmers. And the SCENT. Perfectly made for my sniffing nose.
Right from the entrance of "Georges Rech Homme," a nearly powdery resinous quality of beautiful herb-balsamic incense prevails.
In addition, there is a fine, subtle iris and a hint of soft amber.
After a while, mystical myrrh dares to join in. Also beautifully fragrant cedar wood, which has less of a "pencil scent" and much more of fresh needle resin.
The small, tuft-like arranged needles in a deep blue-green.
Without pushing aside the myrrh and wood, the incense note then strengthens again, a bit "darker" and deeper than at the beginning, accompanied by a few drops of musk and a small, fine sweetness that perfectly supports the balsamic wood-resin scent without stepping into the foreground.
This fragrance is neither embellished with many "frills" nor does it want to "show off."
It is simply a strong, long-lasting wood-resin scent in its most beautiful form.
