Strange, Chemical like scent
This may be one of THEE WIERDEST fragrances in my entire 150+ bottle collection. Now, I like Odd/Unique fragrances and DO NOT care if a fragrance smells "Synthetic"" as long as I like the way it smells, but Lalique's Infinate Shine? Its just a bit too"Chemical" and artificial smelling and Im now seeing here on Parfumo how many artificial/chemical type notes are actually in it, so it sorta makes sense, Now what I will say that the "Chemical smell" does calm down a bit after about 10 minutes or so, yet itl'l still remain throughout the life of the wear just not as prominently. I also think its EXTREMELY musky (NOT a negative) with a slight "non-descript" fruityness (Probably the Rasberry) a bit Floral, a very slight Coconut/Sunscreen like smell in the far background, ZERO spiciness and then your left with a soft Sandlewood in the drydown. It is also veeeery Linear, has very little sweetness and wears quite close to the skin once it dries down with little projection. One way Id describe Infinate Shine is as if Lalique made a fragrance composed of ONLY supporting notes, but leaving out the one or teo "Main notes" that would've given this dna some direction or identity bc for now Id just describe it as a "Synthetic Woody musk fragrance." Now, although theres hardly any oil sheen (Like at all), oddly enough it does seem to lasts quite a while on skin (7 to 8 hours) and I can smell it for days on clothes when taking a close whiff. I think its meant to be one of those "Your skin but better" type of fragrance, but I must say that Infinate shine was a VERY RARE dissapointment from the house of Lalique imo. Also, when I'd initially sprayed it, it didn't even have a smell to it along with practically ZERO oil sheen? I was totally convinced Id recieved a total fake. But after a few weeks went by an actual scent began to emerge and so the "Maturation process" really opened the scent up taking atleast a month for it to fully become what its meant to be. I have a bunch of mens and womens offerings from Lalique, but Infinate Shine is my least favorite sadly. Cant believe this fragrance goes for over $200 Retail!! I mean my head would've EXPLODED if I'd blind bought it for that amount! Bad enough I spent over $70 for it. Oh and I do consider this "Unisex" leaning slightly Feminine, but guys can most def wear it no problemo as it really does become like a personal musky fragrance which does improve further into the drydown.. Unfortunately I can NOT Recommended Infinate Shine. Cant believe Im actually saying this about a Lalique! Lol. Oh well, cant like EVERYTHING right?

Starts off a bit sharp, then becomes fruity sweet. Raspberry comes through nicely. Rose and raspberry make a lovely combination!

piercing spicy start - Ambroxan? - overshadows everything, no oriental notes, synthetic raspberry with rose, milder in the dry down - only the bottle appeals to me

Endless synthetic is a better description. Lots of spice, little flower, a bit of the Orient - not something I want to shine with.

Oriental, warm, and spicy. For me, it smells like an expensive hotel in Dubai.
It's a women's fragrance, but also great for men!

Fresh out of the shower - a decent clean scent - not what I'm looking for. I miss the dirty, earthy notes. S/D above average.
