Balsamic Lotus
After testing Fiore del Dragone, I found that even cheaper fragrances can smell very good. But as it often happens, manufacturers sometimes produce less impressive scents. Fior di Loto by Tesori is not a failed fragrance for me, but it is also not a real highlight.
The scent:
Problem: I have no idea what lotus smells like. What does one do in this case? Well, I will just try to describe the scent as I perceive it.
It starts off very sweet and slightly floral. Spicy notes come into play, which are quite pronounced. Whether this is lotus or a combination of different notes, I cannot say. But it remains primarily sweet and becomes slightly powdery/balsamic towards the end. After two hours, the floral aspect becomes stronger again and also slightly piercing.
Longevity and sillage:
The longevity is average, and the scent lasts about 5-6 hours on the skin.
The sillage is quite good and can be perceived well by others. I think this fragrance could leave a small scent trail, at least at the beginning, before it fades.
The bottle:
I didn't have the bottle in my hands, but it looks good in the pictures. It resembles a deodorant in an aluminum container, but it has great designs on it. You can see images of women bathing and making music in a Roman/Greek style. A meander runs beneath the images. All in all, it’s nicely done and great to look at.
Although the scent is labeled as unisex, it does not suit men at all. In my opinion, the very sweet floral scent is purely a women's fragrance.
But one shouldn't expect too much. The scent is quite nice at first, but later becomes rather insignificant.
You can certainly test it, as you can't go wrong with the low price.
