Do not drink and do not hope
I had really hoped that the combination of my favorites coffee and iris could result in something great. But the patchouli turns it into an annoying, one-dimensional scent mush that chases away the iris I initially detected.
At first, the iris shines bright and clear, and just when I start to truly enjoy it, I feel like someone is holding a warm, old rag in front of my face, one that has wiped up coffee grounds and soaked in inferior patchouli. If I inhale deeply, sometimes a bit more or less rotten iris comes to the surface. As the wear time increases, the annoying and aggressive aspect fades away, but then the scent ultimately becomes insignificant and is almost on the verge of disappearing. I certainly cannot detect the hoped-for and often typical powderiness of the iris and the soft-spiciness of the coffee on myself. And the mandarin probably just ran past the bottle in perception.
The bottle can be called either puristic or uninspired. But it’s great for tossing in a handbag. And that’s the only use I can imagine for myself: to scent the inside of my handbag. Furthermore, I don’t find the instruction "do not drink" to be creative or funny.
In any case, I am very curious to see how the scent is perceived by others.
