Wished it performed and projected better
Libre EDP it's a quite soapy, clean, fresh, florally scent. I like the dry down way more than the opening as it can be too citrusy and sharp at times. The lavender can be a bit overwhelming as well and it sort of gives the fragrance a certain "masculine" edge that might be exacerbated in certain skin chemistries and might not be everyone's taste because of it, however I personally love that androgynous edge and find it quite exquisite and unique.

The dry down is delicate and pleasant, the vanilla blends beautifully with the white florals and the amber in such a classy and timeless way! I wear it year round as I find this one a very versatile atemporal scent.

Longevity and projection are not great though...I'm not too sure if it's because I bought a 2019 batch or what, but it doesn't last at all on me and people don't seem to really smell it after around 2-3 hours, I can't even smell it that much after that time on my own skin either which I find odd since all the samples I had before performed better than my actual bottle, but like I said, it could be because it's an "older" batch.

Overall I really like it when I want something quick and versatile to wear that works with pretty much any weather and any occasion and makes me feel quite well put together!

Really love it.
OG Libre and Libre Intense are STRONG, you don’t need much, but they are lovely.
Very similar to each other, the OG is fresher and fruiter and i get more of the lavender than in the intense.
I get lavender, vanilla, florals and musk and the mandarin orange is mostly just in the opening.
Really love them.

A party I wish I wasn't invited to
Very strong sillage – it consistently choked out the whole room for the first few hours. The flavor profile was all over the place. Vaguely citrusy, super sweet, aggressively jasminey, warm and kind of powdery underneath... And somehow none of those notes mixed together in a cohesive way.

I sprayed it once and felt like I was sitting in a poorly ventilated room with three people with very different perfume tastes (and the same overspraying problem). The smells were constantly clashing and trying to overpower each other, giving me a headache. At first I thought that maybe it would mellow out into something interesting if given a little time? Nope. The composition never came together. Crowded. Loud. Overwhelming.

Neroli and orange disappeared first – in about an hour. Jasmine left the room another ~1,5 hours later. I was left alone with the base notes, which at that point settled closer to my skin – still very sweet, with an unpleasant prickly undertone that I couldn't quite put my finger on. In ~2 hours the base became nice and mellow, and in another ~3 it was gone. I was finally home alone.

It somehow managed to drain my social battery without ever making me speak to anyone, lol. And I don't even have the energy to be annoyed about it tbh – I'm just glad the party's over now.

It's a "perfumey" floral lavender
I really don't like saying this, but i kind of dont get the hype? i feel like something is missing. It's a floral lavender, but i think it's non-offensive. It does have that "perfumey" smell if that makes sense, like it's not a natural smell. I feel the Vanilla Couture is more me, because it has something to balance out the sharpness that the lavender has, but still maintaining the Libré DNA

Sometimes they return....
Nothing new, just a rendition of a perfume very popular during the 90s - and that's the vibe more mature people can get from it.

This could actually be a dupe of Dolce & Gabbana - BY (try to believe!). Same soapish, bitter and cold notes - like in a lavender soap bar. Very boring and unpleasant, and surely distinctive because of that.

Three decades gone by since, but I remember how D&G was received, and wore everywhere. In Italy you could smell it at every corner, this how mass pleasing it was. Not that being mass pleasing it's a bad thing - think of Hypnotic Poison, for example, or Light Blue (again, one D&G creation) which took European women imaginary, and every corner around them, by storm. But here, for me, it is indeed bad. I remember dislking this type of scent very much, and running for cover as for dear life each time the whiff came my way - which was very often! I spent years running to avoid gagging in pubblic.

The first time I caught a whiff of Libre was at the office, on a colleague. Immediately, my mind was zapped back to the 90s, images of wintery Florence dressed up for Xmas, and D&G lingering literally everywhere. My stomach churned, and I had to leave the space right away.

It is surely a novelty for younger generation, used to the fruitchulies and woodyrose gourmand which filled the market since. But to someone my age, this is a reminder of how in time things can come back in fashion. Even when they are so bad that they should have never been in fashion to begin with.
Onto the notes, too much is going on here, and definitely not in a pleasant way. The bitter, screetchy soapy note is a rather unnatural scent in this world. Lavender, petit grain and vanilla being at war with each other for dominance. They duel, one hit at a time, none of them ever winning. It's the equivalent of a nasty cat fight, rather unimpressive if not for the wrong reasons. Too loud and intrusive to be polite enough for the office, or a dinner, so for love of good manners keep it for your dates ladies... (!)

My dislike for this kind of scents has not decreased with ageing. If anything, Libre brought back to memory how strong it could be.

It's a 3 out of 10 from me, for this unimpressive dupe.

Extremely feminine but not "shouted" bouquet : The neroli note is soft, round, warm, not too vibrant. A well balanced classy daily scent

This fragrance for me is not floral, but rather sweet-gourmand. While I like the gourmand part - which was well done it is too sweet for me.

Wish it lasted longer on me.

Classic fruity floral with pink musk. Reminds me of Cacharel "Yes I am". Goes soapy jasmine powder in dry down. Tickles nose, tastes of soap

Marshmallow orange blossom paired with aromatic, spicy lavender and a fresh mandarin orange. Beloved by many, but not to me.

According to the notes, I should love this perfume. Sadly, I don't. It's too much of everything, in the worst way.
