Something summery in the cold winter
Welcome to my second Battini fragrance...The Gentle Selection.
Got it at a great price from the big A.
I didn't have high expectations, but I was looking forward to how it would be.
It is definitely a summer scent that leans towards Dior Homme Sport 2017. Recognizable by the pear, lemon, and sandalwood in the base.
The top note has a tangy freshness from the pear that comes across really well. I like it a lot.
When it gets to the base, the sweet sandalwood emerges, combined with vanilla and musk, creating a soft foundation.
A really beautiful fragrance!
Soooo.....Now unfortunately we come to the slightly negative......The H/S.
Unfortunately, it is not that strong. Maximum 3 to 4 hours on the skin. On fabric, it lasts a bit longer, but there's not much difference. The sillage is practically there.......and shortly after, it's gone.
Overall, the sillage lasts a good hour and projects maybe an arm's length.
But for the price of 5€, you can't complain. It was a blind buy anyway....So, so what.
The brown brother is definitely better and more potent (Perfume concentration...not EdP). It lasts almost a whole week on fabric, and several hours on the skin.
But back to the Gentle Selection....
This fragrance is perfect to take to the gym or keep in the glove compartment for various situations.
Conclusion....
Fragrance, super...really!
H/S, could be better...but okay.
I will try other Battini fragrances in the future. There are plenty of options at affordable prices.
