17:30 in London- the first time I smelled and tried it at Harrods. In one of the best perfumery departments for niche and mainstream fragrances. An incredible variety of woods, citrus, incense and jasmine glide through your nostrils.
Well, back to the actual topic....
Black Gemstone. Or also black gemstone...
The fragrance doesn't open dark at all. The first few seconds are actually rather fresh.
But that changes after a few minutes.
The fragrance retains a light freshness and has a darker component as a base note.
The fragrance tends to last a whole day.
The fragrance is often described as smelling like amber, but I find maple syrup much more apt. My first thought was actually Prospan cough syrup..... :) And that's how I remember the scent.
All in all, a successful fragrance.
